Name a more iconic fashion star (with an equally iconic selection of clothes) than Barbie. Sure, there's Kendall Jenner's insane closet tour, but Barbie is one of the originals. So when Coveteur, a site notorious for exploring inside the homes (and wardrobes) of some of the top street style stars and influencers, got a look inside her closet (plus an interview), we had to take a second (and third) look—it's that good.
This summer, Barbie collaborated with Ladurée on a book, The Art of @BarbiesSyle, in which, as the title suggests, she discusses her personal style. When asked about what inspired her to write a book, Barbie shared with Coveteur, “I've always been obsessed with fashion as it’s the ultimate form of self-expression." She added, "I've been lucky enough to share my passion on my @BarbieStyle Instagram channel, where I share all of my stories and inspiration with all of my followers—and now to bring it to print is the ultimate dream!”
But the part of the interview that stood out to us most was when she was asked about any fashion regrets. Her response? Exactly what we needed to hear. "No regrets, that is the fun with fashion! I love that I can look back at all of my looks and see a reflection of the fashion trends of that time." There you have it—wise words from one of fashion's original icons.
