There's a revolutionary new collection of legging–skinny jean hybrids on the market, and they just might be the most comfortable summer jeans ever created. The brand behind the new denim collection, coined (B)air Denim, is designer-denim veteran 7 for All Mankind. The jeans, available on the brand's site as a special early release, are described by the brand as "remarkably slimming stretch denim that is as light as air and as soft as silk, you'll barely notice they are there."
But whatever you do, don't confuse them with jeggings. The ultra-lightweight denim used in the collection took over a year to develop. The resulting polyester, Lyoc, and Spandex blend holds its shape yet is incredibly flexible and un-confining, the brand's VP of design and merchandising Peggi Jewell explained to Refinery 29.
Jewell said the company's mission was to create "a pair [of jeans] that we didn't want to rip off at the end of the day, and that complemented and smoothed our bodies without feeling like we were being sucked into yet another tight pair of jeans." The outcome is a line of denim that's as comfortable as a pair of leggings but gives the look of a pair of jeans, and won't make you sweat to boot. We're sold!
