Chanel Creative Director Karl Lagerfeld has proven he has a clear penchant for taking the brand's cruise runway shows to exotic locales; from Dallas, Texas, to Seoul, South Korea, the Parisian house has shown its cruise collections the world over. But Lagerfeld's next choice might surprise you nonetheless.
Chanel will show its Cruise 17 collection next year in Havana, Cuba, according to Harper's Bazaar. The fashion world has long had a fascination with the tropical city but largely enjoyed its exotic appeal from a distance, in part due to Cuba's strict travel restrictions that were only recently lifted.
We can expect a particularly vivacious collection from Chanel to reflect the culture of its host city, and we look forward to seeing it! Tell us below what you think of Chanel's choice to host its Cruise 17 collection, and shop some of our favorite Chanel pieces while you're at it!
