Carine Roitfeld is a woman of many talents. She’s an impossibly chic editor, street style star, Uniqlo collaborator, and author. Oh, and she’s a pro at dishing out career advice too. But that doesn’t mean she’s perfect. In an interview with Business of Fashion, Roitfeld revealed an embarrassing moment that happened at fashion week.
“Some years ago, I went out of a Marc Jacobs show at night, and there were a lot of stairs,” she says in the video. “I missed one stair and [fell] down, and it was really embarrassing.” But Roitfeld was quick to point out that the moment had a silver lining—her faith in paparazzi was restored: “All the photographers taking pictures of me put down the cameras and didn’t take one picture.” Roitfeld says she was impressed by their respect, and it turned into an emotional moment for her. Kudos to those photographers—and to Roitfeld for revealing the anecdote.
