It’s refreshing to see nuptials where everything went just right. For the bride especially, it’s easy to get swept up in the wedding frenzy and dress up to the point of discomfort. But one woman in Scotland flipped this idea on its head last year, and we fell in love with her look.
On the big day, the bride wore an Italian cashmere sweater (which she lovingly referred to as her security blanket) over a bias-cut silk dress. This unique mix of everyday comfort and luxe materials looked amazing in a soft, monochrome palette. Of her style, she said, “I didn’t want to look like a princess or a character in a Disney film. I wanted to look like me—at my best. … I didn’t feel I was dressed up as someone else.”
