I’m currently in the process of searching for my wedding dress. Since the day that I got engaged, I've had a pretty good idea of what I want—something simple and sleek without a hint of lace in sight (think Caroline Besette-Kennedy in Narciso Rodriguez). But Bridal Fashion Week A/W 2017 is currently underway in New York City, and surprisingly, it’s thrown me into a spin.
Beautiful lace and beaded gowns have been sent down the runway, and they have left me re-thinking what I thought I wanted for my big day. The designs are still simple in shape, yet it's the unique detailing that makes them feel new and different (and not like something I’ve seen a million times before).
If I had to choose tomorrow, I’d go with the Reem Acra off-the-shoulder lace gown (lucky for me I have about 10 months to go, so I can afford to be indecisive). Click through to see my three top picks, from five of my favourite designers.
