Way back in October 2014, Topshop announced an athleisure line to be crafted in partnership with the one and only Beyoncé—and now we finally have an official launch date. According to WWD, Bey’s collection is set to debut in late March 2016.
Unlike the brand’s previous collaborations with big celebrity names, Topshop's partnership with Beyoncé is just that: a partnership. Beyoncé’s line will be an independent brand, dubbed Parkwood Topshop Athletic Ltd., sold at Topshop stores and Topshop.com.
“This not a collaboration,” Topshop Chairman Philip Green said when the partnership was first announced. “This is about building a brand and building a business: a separate, proper business, with separate overheads and a separate office.”
Price points for Beyoncé’s athleisure line have yet to be announced, but WWD reports that it will include about 125 pieces comprising athletic streetwear-inspired clothing, shoes, and accessories. Green confirms that Beyoncé has already shot the campaign for the line, so we’ll all have to keep our eyes peeled for that, too.
