I won't pretend I don't shop pretty much every Zara category there is on a (very) regular basis, but I recently noticed a trend in my Zara shopping habit (actually, just my shopping in general) that I'd never really realized. While my shoe, denim, bag, and dress collections are filled with a wide variety of brands, my tops are much less diverse. You see, even though tops are obviously something I wear all the time, I also grow tired of them more quickly than perhaps anything else in my closet. I'd much rather spend more of my wardrobe budget on accessories, pants, jeans, shoes, outerwear, etc. since these items can be reworn more often without anyone noticing. It's a lot trickier to repeat a top over and over, unless it's a basic.
Which brings me back to Zara. Because I tire of my tops so quickly, I hate spending a lot of money on them. And of the nearly 900 (I was kind of impressed by the number too, actually) tops that Zara currently has in stock, I can always find whatever my heart desires for less than $40. There are going-out tops, work tops, off-duty tops, basic tops, and more to be had, and when said tops are making such a small dent in my bank account, my guilt level for tapering off from wearing them is far smaller than if I had spent $100 or more.
With that, and in case you share in my affinity for buying tops as Zara, shop my current favorites below!
