While I look to many corners of the internet for fashion inspiration, I frequently don't have to venture beyond the Who What Wear office to find the pieces I want to add to my closet. Yep, what our fashion editors are wearing often causes me to make purchases of my own. And right now with my sights set on collecting the best summer tops for the months ahead, I asked them to share the ones they're loving at the moment.

The most interesting part was seeing some of the trends I discovered among their picks. Pretty white tops finished with details like ruffles and covered buttons were called out by over half of our editors, so I expect those to be a huge trend this summer. Also noteworthy are the retailers they're shopping from: Affordable brands like Zara and Pixie Market made up for half of their picks. So the good news is that you can tap into their style with some inexpensive options. Ahead are the best summer tops from our editors.

"There's something about this ribbed tube top that's very early '00s. A rhinestone belt only adds to the throwback vibe."

"I had no idea vegan leather could look so good. The texture is heavenly, and I can't get enough of the pretty purple."

"White linen things are basically all I want to wear in the 95-degree heat. Pixie Market is one of my go-to sources for pretty summer tops and it did not disappoint with this one. (It sold out pretty much immediately but a little bird told me the brand will be restocking very soon.)"

"I'm all for keeping things simple with an easy cropped tank. Bonus points for styling it with pieces in contrasting colors."

"Name a Who What Wear editor who isn't eyeing all the white tops right now. Here's the latest I've added to my summer wardrobe. This one is great because you can adjust the fit with the bottom tie so you can make it as cropped or covered as you'd like."

"I'm loving this cute $40 top from Zara right now. The pink-and-white colors are so summery, and the square neckline feels very on-trend—so it's the ultimate win-win."

"I'm convinced this top is the perfect summer piece—the puff sleeves hit on one of summer's biggest trends in a really wearable way and the lightweight linen fabric makes it ideal for hot days. I plan on wearing it with workwear trousers like I did here as well as everything from jeans to skirts."
