Sneakers are a fashion staple that most of us will keep in rotation forever (seriously, you can't go wrong with comfort!), but just which pairs are getting a moment in the spotlight this year? As Refinery29 points out, five sneaker styles trending in a big way, and we're not even halfway through 2016 yet. Fashion girls everywhere seem to be embracing a more retro, athletic style as opposed to something more highly stylized and modern. Among the new crop of trendy sneakers are a pair of classic boxing-inspired Pumas from the 1960s—which will make quite the statement—and a quintessential skate shoe from Vans.
