“My favorite pair of denim is one of the earliest J Brand styles and my first pair of skinny jeans. They’re a deep blue wash with contrast stitching, and a thick material so they hold you in but still feel comfortable. I have had them for eight years and they still fit me, which is the biggest plus. I cut them myself for a cropped, frayed look. They’re just the best ever.” –Nicole Akhtarzad, Fashion Assistant, Who What Wear
“These jeans are the perfect concoction of mom jean fit, French-girl appeal, and a laid-back wash. I wear them with everything from pumps to white sneakers, and never want to take them off because the denim is so comfortable. Also, they make me feel like Jane Birkin sometimes, so that's cool.” –Nicole Kliest, Senior Editor, Who What Wear
“My first pair of Rag & Bone jeans was a skinny style in the Harrow wash (now discontinued, sadly). They're made of this rigid Japanese denim but it's thin, so comfort isn't sacrificed. They're the most flattering jeans I've ever owned and I've been a Rag & Bone denim devotee ever since.” –Allyson Payer, Executive Assistant to Katherine Power
"To me, vintage denim has a special, dreamy quality you can't usually find in new styles. Ordering online can be hit or miss, since all pairs are different, but I've scored with Urban Outfitters' vintage Levi's. They're the kind of jeans that make your butt look incredible, but in a sexy-relaxed way, not in a skin-tight-booty-boppin' way. Just order them to see what I mean!" –Kat Collings, Senior Editor, Who What Wear
“Citizens of Humanity Rocket Highrise Skinny Jeans in Crispy. Talk about a game-changer! The Rocket is by far the most flattering pair of jeans I own. They have a super-snug fit plus a high-rise cut that dramatically elongates my legs. The rest of my jeans don't stand a chance compared to this pair.” –Michelle Scanga, Associate Editor, Who What Wear

“When I was in college, for some reason I was obsessed with Australian denim brand Ksubi (formerly known as Tsubi). I thought the cross logo was so cool, I loved their washes, and Kate Moss wore the label, which sealed the deal. Sadly their jeans usually cost over $200, a steep price for a penny-pinching student. But finally, I saved enough to purchase a pair, a slightly distressed, skinny fit in a true blue wash. They had a laid-back vibe and fit me like a glove. Almost a decade later, I still wear them occasionally, so I guess they were worth every penny!” –Tiffany Tse, Deputy Editor, Clique Media
“For me, as a curvier gal, I find the challenge to find the perfect pair to be especially frustrating. Finding a pair that hugs me in all the right places without being too tight is incredibly difficult, but this year I found two really solid pairs that have become my go-tos. Spanx's Skinny Jeans have a special built-in slimming fabric that tucks me in all the right places, and helps me feel more confident than ever when wearing jeans. AG's Farrah Skinny Countour jeans are actually made to be as comfortable as yoga pants—and while I wouldn't go that far, they have swiftly earned their place atop my list of favorite jeans ever. One word: stretchy." –Meghan Blalock, Managing Editor, Who What Wear
