I'm a Fashion Editor in My 30s—These Are the Brands I Shop for Chic Basics

High-quality and well-fitting basics are an essential part of my everyday ensembles. Whether worn alone or as a backdrop to a statement piece, they are the backbone of my wardrobe that I reach for and rely on daily. So it goes without saying that I spend a lot of time trying, testing, and discovering staples to find the most stylish and versatile pieces that work for me.

Now that I'm in my 30s and feel a lot more confident and comfortable in my own skin, I have a better understanding of the items I like to wear. While I'm always game to try new trends (I am a style-obsessed fashion editor, after all), I tend to favor basics that I feel comfortable in, fit into my lifestyle, and, most importantly, speak to my personal style aesthetic.

So today, I wanted to share some of my go-to brands I always make a beeline toward when I shop for basics. Keep scrolling to see and shop all my faves, from affordable, casual brands such as H&M and J.Crew to fashion-person favorites such as Bazilika and Refine.
