Just when we thought Bella Hadid had introduced us to all her favorite under-the-radar brands, she surprises us in Paris with another. This time around, the 20-year-old was spotted wearing pieces from a Georgian designer, and no, it's not the one connected to Demna Gvasalia.
The brand that just got the younger Hadid's stamp of approval is Situationist, a brand launched in 2015 with designers Irakli Rusadze and Davit Giorgadze at the helm. Hadid donned pieces from the Spring 2017 collection on two occasions over the weekend: A long leather coat and a pairing of a miniskirt and tan over-the-knee boots. With two outfits, Hadid put the Georgian designers in the spotlight and simultaneously highlights the growing number of brands coming from Eastern Europe. "For young brands and for a Georgian designer, it is very important that Bella wears these clothes," Rusadze tells Vogue. "With the help of Bella, Situationist attracts much more interest." We're almost certain we'll be seeing a lot more of the indie brand in the coming months, especially since Fashion Week is right around the corner.
