You might recall that way back in May of this year, the fashion world reeled at the news that Scott Sternberg–helmed brand Band of Outsiders would shutter after more than a decade on the market. Well, WWD now reports that in 2017, the brand will return anew.
Band of Outsiders, sans the leadership of its original founder, will make its second entry into the fashion world for the S/S 17 season. CLCC, the company that bought BOO in May, is staging the brand's return to both the men's and womenswear markets.
"We have recruited a collective of ambitious, highly skilled fashion designers as well as merchandisers, graphic designers, and key support staff to launch Band of Outsiders for the spring 2017 season," Antony Verbaeys, CLCC’s managing director, told WWD. "It is our aim to have our collections present in the best international boutiques, but with a strong anchor in Los Angeles for which we are exploring opportunities."
We'll keep our ears to the ground to see the progress of the brand, and we're super excited to see what the future of BOO will hold!
