This season, Banana Republic teamed up with textile company Piece & Co. for a gorgeous and eco-conscious 20-piece collection, which dropped today. From batik-dyed summer dresses to lightweight men's shirts, the limited-edition capsule features handcrafted fabrics sustainably produced by female-ledgroups in Africa.
The marriage of Banana Republic's signature modern silhouettes with abstract prints inspired by South African flora and Western Cape fauna makes for summer-worthy separates you'll wear over and over again, including one-shoulder tops and relaxed trousers. Some of our favorite pieces incorporate sun-dyed geometric prints from Ghana, which are handcrafted through a proprietary wax-resistant batik dying process. The result, a stunning blue-and-purple palette accented by white and gray, showcases the beauty of Piece & Co.'s textile techniques along with the remarkable talents of the artisans who brought the collection to fruition.
