Taking the next step in her creative pursuits, Australian fashion blogger Talisa Sutton (also a part of our INF / Network) is stepping away from blogging and into the publishing space with the launch of Badlands Journal—a digital magazine that launched today.
Talisa says of the launch, "If you’d told me a decade ago that I would be editing an online journal, I would have quickly told you my talents lie more in the visual side of things, I've really had to push myself in new areas." So what makes this digital magazine stand out? Talisa's talent and experience in graphic design and previous editorial work for ELLE Australiahas worked in her favour. "Working in magazines, blogging and now co-running a design practice have taught me anything, it's that these days we wear many hats, and when you’re passionate about a project, you can push yourself in ways you never felt possible.” Sutton commented. We jumped on the phone to congratulate Talisa, and find out more, and she said "It's been so fulfilling to have complete creative control, and to realise a new vision and direction for this project."
After a leisurely read through the first issue, it’s safe to say her aesthetic is contagious. You can expect a clean, easy-to-read layout, artistic shoots, and lust-worthy products we know we'll be spending all our money on.
