It always sounds like a good idea to spend a little extra money on the basics we wear most, but at the end of the day, it’s often hard to convince ourselves that it’s worth it. The classic T-shirt is an especially tricky item to save up for. After all, so many fast-fashion tees today seem just as well made as their more expensive counterparts, making it very hard to justify shelling out any extra cash for the staple.
But we’ve learned over the years that things—especially cheaper fashion items—aren’t always what they seem, so we decided to investigate the matter by comparing a $10 tee with one that costs $100. In this particular instance, the pricier tee was the clear winner, causing us to totally rethink our past shopping habits. It can’t hurt to have a closet filled only with long-lasting items, right?
