Adele is having a major moment right now. After surprise-releasing her latest single, "Hello," just last week, the powerhouse British vocalist has broken a slew of records, including a huge one of Billboard's: Hers is the first song ever to sell more than a million downloads during its first week out.
Leading up to her album release on November 20, Adele covers the latest issue of Rolling Stone, and she opened up to the magazine about a number of aspects of her life, including fame, her son Angelo, and her body image. The plus-size singer has a particularly poignant and wise perspective on her size, which (unfortunately) has long been a topic of discussion in popular media.
"Sometimes I'm curious to know if I would have been as successful if I wasn't plus-size," Adele ruminates. "I think I remind everyone of themselves. Not saying everyone is my size, but it's relatable because I'm not perfect, and I think a lot of people are portrayed as perfect, unreachable, and untouchable."
Wow. We can all stand to benefit from such a mature and enlightened view of our own bodies! Keep scrolling to shop some plus-size pieces we'd love to see Adele wear!
