Wondering how to make basic office separates party-ready? Puzzled about how to wear leather in the summer? With a little help from today's seven tastemakers, our latest batch of Styling Tips is sure to help ease even your most frustrating fashion predicaments. Read on for all of our words of wisdom, and don't forget to let us know which ideas you'll be trying out!

Tip #1: Style your micro print with a graphic clutch or pop of color.
The only thing we adore more than a stylish outfit is a pair of them-hence our love for the well-dressed duo Harley Viera-Newton and Annabelle Dexter-Jones! The friends celebrated the launch of Fendi's Baguette book in New York earlier this month wearing a slew of pieces by the Italian fashion house. While both wore the same Fendi Printed Top ($1330, 212-759-4646), Viera-Newton opted for matching Printed Pants ($1145, 212-759-4646) and Dexter-Jones chose Yellow High Waisted Shorts ($890, 212-759-4646). The pair also differed in their accessory choice; the former added the Pequin Beaded Baguette ($2560, 212-759-4646) while the latter went for the Selleria Baguette ($1580, available in black). Viera-Newton's clutch works well because the clashing pattern added extra pizzazz to her micro-print ensemble, while Dexter-Jones' subtler choice was also wise because it kept the focus on her yellow shorts. If you'd like to make a statement with a printed clutch, simply buy Forever 21's Bead & Sequin Stripe Clutch ($23) or Rachel Roy's Small Striped Clutch ($59). If a pair of bright shorts a la Dexter-Jones is more your style, then we recommend Alice + Olivia's Cady Cuff Shorts ($165) or Kookai's Bright Shorts ($91) for a vibrant, on-point finish.

Tip #2: Summerize a leather skirt with a thin cotton button-up.
Though leather is not always ideal for the hottest summer days, there actually is a way to make the material suitable for warm weather. Take, for instance, the outfit model Arizona Muse wore to a dinner at the New Museum in New York last month. We love how she paired her slim leather pencil skirt with a breezy button-up (both by Burberry), resulting in a look that's cool and appropriate for summer. To mimic Muse's smart styling, we suggest teaming a crisp white blouse, like J. Crew's Boy Shirt ($70) in Classic White or Nation Ltd.'s Seaside Shirt ($151), with a black leather skirt, like Rebecca Taylor's Pleated Leather Mini Skirt ($495) or ASOS' Leather Look Pencil Skirt ($52), all of which are guaranteed to give you the same chic look.

Tip #3: Make the bare midriff trend event-friendly by adding a blouse knotted at the waist.
As tempting as some trends are, they're not always easily accessible for the everyday woman. Case in point: bare midriffs, which can be a bit risqué depending on the occasion. But fear not, dear readers, because there is a solution: simply add a knotted blouse, which only reveals a sliver of skin, a la Nylon's Editor-At-Large Dani Stahl. Spotted at an event for Karl Lagerfeld's t-shirt collaboration, Karl x I Love Dust, in New York last month, Stahl opted for Dolce & Gabbana's Printed Skirt ($585) and Cotton Printed Aubergine Top ($995, 877-703-4872), and added a crisp collared shirt by Benson. The strategic addition of a blouse offers a more conservative take on the trend, rendering it perfect for just about any summer soiree and offering an unintimidating way to test-drive the bare midriff look. To try your hand at this brilliant outfit idea, pick up Threadsence's Summertime Live Crop Top ($26) or Topshop's Petite Flower Lace Corset ($45), and pair it with either ASOS' Pencil Skirt in Mirror Floral Print ($70) or Barneys New York Co-Op's Floral Pencil Skirt ($245). Finally, snag a white blouse, such as Free People's Collar Button Down Top ($88) or Equipment's Diem Tie Front Blouse ($184) in Bright White, and knot it around the waist to achieve Stahl's smartly styled look.

Tip #4: Create a bold look by mixing primary hues.
Looking to up the ante at your next cocktail party? We suggest mixing hues on opposite sides of the color wheel a la Zoe Kazan, which will guarantee your outfit stands out from the crowd. Snapped at the Lincoln Center Institute's Junior Spring Benefit in New York last month, the actress wowed us with her high-impact mix of a canary yellow frock and cobalt shoes, both by Diane von Furstenberg, which she accessorized with the label's Tonda Small Clutch ($395) in Black. We're especially smitten with how the contrasting primary shades made an undeniably striking statement. If you adore Kazan's outfit as much as we do, we're positive you'll be delighted with our finds! First, snag a vivid yellow dress, like Torn by Ronny Kobo's Kaitlyn Pleated Dress ($256), Topshop's Neon Lace Flippy Dress ($92), or One by Ramy Brook's Marcie Side Drape Dress ($395). Then, simply add bright blue platforms, such as Aldo's Galler Suede Platform Heeled Shoes ($139) or Calvin Klein's Vivian Platform Logo Strap Sandals ($119), for a Kazan-inspired finish!

Tip #5: Add a splash of color to a neutral print dress with a bright sash.
We're always on the lookout for fresh ways to style our wardrobe staples, and luckily we have ladies like model Eniko Mihalik to provide us with endless inspiration! Attending the launch of Fendi's Baguette book in New York earlier this month, Mihalik donned Fendi's Butterfly Print Dress ($834), which she spiced up with a colorful Fendi Belt ($460, 212-759-4646) and metallic Baguette ($2610, 212-759-4646). We especially appreciate how the turquoise and cobalt sash livened up her neutral print frock and effectively elevated her whole look. Dying to take your own dress from ho-hum to show-stopping in no time? We think Ann Taylor's Silk Havana Winds Sash ($38), Ada's Two Tone Leather Obi Belt ($88), and American Apparel's The Sash ($8) would make the perfect colorful addition to any look.

Tip #6: Break up black and white separates with a metallic top.
If you've been searching for a way to rejuvenate your classic black and white separates, look no further than Bella Heathcote's outfit at a Cannes Film Festival party last month. As the actress' ensemble proves, a shimmering metallic top is the perfect punctuation to noir et blanc staples and makes the nine-to-five pieces thoroughly event-ready. A shimmering top is your ticket to easy party dressing, so be sure to get your hands on Topshop's Petite Metallic Piped Vest ($45), Theyskens' Theory's Metallic Tank ($195), or Worthington's Short Sleeve Metallic Scoop Neck Top ($18), all of which are glam options for a night out.--Erin Fitzpatrick
