This November is a particularly important month, thanks to the upcoming presidential elections. At Who What Wear, we've definitely given a great deal of thought to the candidates and hot-button issues, but we've also found time to research November's coolest sartorial finds. We've cast our ballots and these stylish essentials, from a must-read memoir to Balmain's inaugural handbag, have our vote.Bumble and bumble Semisumo Pomade ($27)
Welcome the latest addition to Bumble and bumble's Sumo family--their Semisumo Pomade. Following on the heels of the hair brand's legendary Sumowax and Sumotech, this new styling product is best for giving your hair intense shine and definition without weighing it down. A blend of beeswax and coconut oil makes the pomade ideal for taming persistent flyaways or lending your tresses some extra polish.
Grace: A Memoir ($19) by Grace Coddington
It'd be easy to envy the flame-haired Grace Coddington, Vogue's Creative Director who stole our hearts in the 2009 documentary The September Issue. (She's a former model-turned-major editor; talk about a glamorous life!) But the charm and wit displayed in her memoir makes it impossible not to fall in love with Coddington's vibrant personality. You'll burn the midnight oil flipping through pages filled with her candid prose, personal photos and illustrations, and a sampling of her most noteworthy Vogue editorials.
Proenza Schouler Resort Denim
Proenza Schouler's denim pieces, part of the Resort 13 collection, are bound to earn the same must-have status as the label's PS1 bags. We're particularly fond of the PS-J1 Boy Jeans ($295, 212.585.3200) in Bleached Indigo, a cool, laid-back alternative to your everyday skinnies.
Liz Goldwyn for M.A.C.
Over the years, M.A.C.'s fulfilled so many of our beauty needs, from the best brow shaper to a great red lipstick. Now the cosmetics brand is introducing makeup bags, designed by writer/director Liz Goldwyn, to its repertoire as part of its Fabulousness holiday collection. The bags, including the Primed Out Perfectly Plushed Brush Kit/Essential ($50) shown here, evoke a vintage boudoir feel inspired by Goldwyn's own lingerie collection. Don't forget to check out our exclusive interview with her for more details!
Narciso Rodriguez for Kohl's Cocoon Coat ($130, available November 7th) in Peony
As you may know, we're a little crazy about coats at the moment--and this elegant cover-up by Narciso Rodriguez for Kohl's is our latest love. Rodriguez is the first designer partnering with the retailer for their DesigNation series, which features limited-edition collections inspired by international travels. A recent trip to Instabul, Turkey, influenced Rodriguez's inaugural collection, which marries rich, vibrant shades and prints with his signature streamlined silhouettes.
Aurelie Bidermann for Balmain The Pierre Bag ($4350)
Balmain's Olivier Rousteing makes clothes and Aurelie Bidermann crafts jewelry, but the two French designers share a similar aesthetic--glamorous and decadent with a bit of rock 'n' roll elan. So when Rousteing invited Bidermann to create Balmain's debut handbag, she came up with a decidedly luxe-looking satchel crafted in rich suede. Dubbed The Pierre in homage to the French fashion house's founder, the bag is made for the cool girls who wear their designs (and who will certainly appreciate the chic boar tusk embellishment too).
