While your Who What Wear editors can't always agree on everything--currently, the office debate is over whether Bridesmaids or The Hangover Part II is the funnier film--there is one thing we can all acknowledge: that this month's edition of WWW: Hearts is a hands-down crowd pleaser! From delightfully quirky charm bracelets to a must-buy fashion book to the perfect summer eye makeup, we're all very excited about today's spectacular selection of products. As always, we hope you too enjoy some of our favorite things, so please don't forget to share your reviews with us on Twitter and Facebook!
Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty by Andrew Bolton ($27)
If you're a fan of Alexander McQueen's work or simply a fashion aficionado, you must pick up this incredible book pronto! Written by Andrew Bolton in association with the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty exhibition, this stunning book celebrates the influential designer's prolific career, from his early work to the years spent as Creative Director at Givenchy in Paris to the imaginative collections from his world-renowned London-based fashion house. In addition to being filled with images of some of McQueen's most iconic designs--including the "bumster" trouser, kimono jacket, and "origami" frock coat--Bolton includes profound commentary from the designer himself, plus, an incredible interview with Sarah Burton, Creative Director for Alexander McQueen, conducted by Tim Blanks. It's no wonder we can't put it down!
Venessa Arizaga Heroes and Villains Charm Bracelet ($175)
When it comes to unique and whimsical mixed-media jewelry, Venessa Arizaga is the master. With pieces like the Fruit Cake Silver-Plated Charm Necklace ($250) and the Time At Sea Silver-Plated Necklace ($360), it's hard not to splurge on the entire collection! That said, lately, we've had our eye on her charm bracelets, particularly the Heroes and Villains one. Not your typical charm bracelet, this lovely bauble features a chunky, gunmetal chain, interwoven multicolored thread, and an assortment of quirky charms--we particularly like the fish on the wire and trio of seashells. Basically, it's the perfect way to add some playful color to your summer wardrobe. Go ahead and file this under "must own immediately"!
J. Crew Pink Pants ($250, 800.562.0258)
Though we practically live in our summer denim staples--we seriously can't get enough of our tried-and-true cutoffs and white flare jeans--this season we find ourselves smitten with slim pants in interesting hues--specifically J. Crew's Pink Pants! The bubblegum pink color is quite darling and the tailored, cropped silhouette keeps them feeling of-the-moment, rather than too retro preppy. We particularly like that these pants can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion; wear them with a tee and sandals for the weekend or style them with a chic button-up and sleek heels for the office. Even though they aren't available until later this month, we recommend pre-ordering them stat!
Miu Miu Capretto Sandals ($550, 212.641.2980) in Verde
While our list of must-have summer footwear is pretty lengthy, at this moment we're swooning over Miu Miu's awesome Capretto Sandals! We fell hard for the gladiator-like cutout design of these super luxe flats and think they would look sharp worn with a flowy maxi dress or paired with this season's ultra-bright separates. This fluorescent green pair is our absolute favorite, but we definitely recommend checking out all of the other thrilling styles and shades--including the electric yellow and shimmering silver--before the season is over!
Kelly Wearstler F/W 11 Collection
When we first got word that interior-design maven Kelly Wearstler was branching out into the fashion realm, we were beyond ecstatic! After all, if her clothes were anything like her enchanting and ultra-luxurious interiors, we knew we'd be in for a real treat. And happily, that's precisely what we got! Wearstler's foray into fashion not only reflects her noteworthy aesthetic (think: bright pops of color and mixed prints) and eye for beautiful fabrics, but it's actually quite affordable too! Mixing a cool California casual vibe with feminine sensibilities and art-inspired accents, the collection includes such standout pieces as the blue velvet Tide Pants ($245), the bright orange Tanzanite Blazer ($385), and lust-worthy accessories and jewelry. Until the collection hits Bergdorf Goodman in August you can always get a Wearstler fix by visiting her amazing behind-the-scenes blog. One note of warning: it's highly addictive, so just know that you're going to lose hours of your life on this gorgeous site!
M.A.C Big Bounce Eyeshadow ($16.50)
As longtime admirers of all-things M.A.C., we get truly jazzed every time the beauty brand creates another amazing new product. Accordingly, we were as pleased as can be to discover their latest eye makeup: the Big Bounce Eyeshadow! The lightweight, mousse-like formula gives your lids a gorgeous luminescent sheen, plus it lasts for hours, so it's perfect for a long day at the beach or a GNO! Right now we're over the moon for the bright peach color of Reward Yourself and the lustrous olive hue of Spread the Wealth, but of course that's not all! We're also quite taken with Rich Thrills, a luxe silver infused with a multi-color pearl shimmer. But don't just take our word for it, be sure to browse all 16 shades today!
