Paco Rabanne Bags ($1250-$1900, 212.463.8100)
Any fashion lover-especially the ones who are also history buffs-will freak out for these Paco Rabanne bags. Originally designed in 1969 and carried by the like of Brigitte Bardot, these chainmail-style purses are being re-released in collaboration with Comme des Garcons and we think they're simply stunning. Available in nine different materials, including Black Rubber ($1250), Brown Vegetal Leather ($1400), and Iconic Metal ($1900) as seen above, these handmade bags might have a vintage pedigree, but they have such a modern look and spirit. We're in awe!
House of Harlow 1960 Chelsea Cat-Eye Sunglasses ($138) in Nude
Looking for the perfect pair of spring sunglasses? Well the quest is officially over, thanks to these insane cat-eye shades from House of Harlow 1960. Available in either black or the peachy-nude shown above (which is our favorite, clearly), these substantial frames are subtly mod and overtly cool, making them a perfect purchase. While we highly suggest going for the neutral hue-it's modern and fresh-these sunnies are a sure thing in either color.
NARS Velvet Gloss Lip Pencils ($24)
The last time NARS released a new lip product-Pure Matte Lipstick-we instantly became addicted, so we were quite excited to learn about the brand's latest addition: Velvet Gloss Lip Pencils. The non-sticky, lightweight formula is infused with Vitamin E and there are six lovely shades to choose from, all of which are indubitably flattering. Also noteworthy: NARS collaborated with fashion director Ruth Hogben to create a short film in celebration of the pencils. Starring model Heather Marks, the video is up on the NARS Facebook page, so be to check it out now!
JewelMint Jewelry ($29.99)
When we first heard that Kate Bosworth and her uber-talented stylist Cher Coulter were teaming up to launch an affordable jewelry brand, we thought: how brilliant. That said, we all know that a celebrity line really lives and dies on the quality of the product, which is why we're happy to report that JewelMint is not only alive, it's absolutely flourishing. Sold exclusively on the brand's website, you must sign up for a free membership before you can browse or buy, but with pieces like the Astoria Necklace ($29.99)-one of the upcoming selections for March-it's definitely worth it!
Pour la Victoire Erian Heel ($210)
Whether it's a perfect platform pump or a cool studded bag, we know we can always count on PLV for amazing accessories. Case in point: these incredibly cool Erian Heels. The low, chunky, wood heel contrasts perfectly with the refined ankle-strap silhouette and pale leather upper. This style is our favorite from the brand's resort collection-hopefully you appreciate them too!
Right now, there's probably no woman in the fashion industry who is being watched more closely than Emmanuelle Alt. As Carine Roitfeld's successor at Vogue Paris, Alt has some major Alaias to fill and we are dying to see how she puts her personal touch on the magazine. In her previous position-Fashion Director for Vogue Paris-Alt was Roitfeld's right-hand woman, so we have a feeling she'll keep things provocative, sexy, and aggressively chic, but only time will tell!
Mother The Drama Jeans ($220, 310.360.8008) in Forever Blue
If you only do one thing this month, let it be this: find and buy some Mother jeans. This new brand is the brainchild of two denim experts-Tim Kaeding, former Head of Design for 7 For All Mankind, and Lela Tillem, who was President of Sales at Citizens of Humanity-and the resulting line is pure genius. The tightly edited collection offers sophisticated pieces with clean finishes, including this must-have style: The Drama. With its high-waisted, wide-legged silhouette and perfect '70s blue hue, this is the jean to own for spring. We are obsessed. You will be too.
Swimming Pool Blue Nail Polish
Like most of you, we're big fans of DKNY and adore the brand's delightfully authored Twitter account (follow @dkny to see what the fuss is about), but what we're currently obsessed with is the turquoise nail polish used at the DKNY S/S 11 show. While the exact lacquer is quite matte-Knockout Cosmetics' Nail Polish ($19) in Pool, to be specific-we like China Glaze's Nail Polish ($6) in Turned Up Turquoise even better. It's the perfect bright blue for spring and the price is certainly right!
