When news of Anna Dello Russo's collaboration with H&M was announced back in May, the thought of having to wait until October for her upcoming accessories line was almost unbearable. But how time flies! Though we can hardly believe it, October's finally arrived, and along with it, a slew of other fashion-focused things to look forward to. From a pair of shades designed by one of our current girl crushes to a seriously stylish confection, read on for everything we're excited about this month!Anna Dello Russo x H&M Accessories Collection
Stylesetters, get ready to stake your spot in line! One of the most anticipated collaborations this year is Anna Dello Russo's accessories collection for H&M. The Vogue Japan editor-at-large is a beloved street style favorite, thanks to her penchant for eclectic, glamorous, over-the-top outfits dripping in ornamentation. No wonder H&M asked her to design a capsule line, which includes everything from must-have jewelry to sunglasses and handbags, available October 4th.
Aubrey Plaza x Lookmatic Sunglasses ($130)
While Parks and Recreation star Aubrey Plaza's genius comedic timing is slightly out of reach for most of us, we can at least snag her look in these playful, retro-inspired shades. Eyewear company Lookmatic handpicked Plaza--along with other tastemakers like Jessie Randall, Loeffler Randall's creative director--to create an exclusive, limited-edition pair of frames. We're happy to report the sunglasses are as chic as Aubrey is funny (in other words, very much so)!
Lanvin x Laduree Macaron Box Set ($28)
As if we needed another reason to indulge in desserts from Laduree! The French confectionary company called on Lanvin's creative director, Alber Elbaz, to design what is surely the most stylish box of macarons we've ever seen. The brightly colored package contains eight almost-too-pretty-to-eat treats. It'd make a delicious, thoughtful gift for a fashionable friend or yourself--don't worry, we'll never tell!
Andy Warhol Fever
There's no doubt that Andy Warhol had a huge impact on contemporary art, which is why The Metropolitan Museum of Art is running an exhibition, Regarding Warhol: Sixty Artists, Fifty Years, from now until December 31st. Can't make it to New York? Pick up the exhibit's companion book ($38) by Marla Prather, Mark Rosenthal, Ian Alteveer, and Rebecca Lowery. You can also pay homage to the late artist with NARS x Andy Warhol's makeup collab, which includes gorgeous eye shadow palettes and brilliant Nail Polish ($18) in hues like Back Room, New York Dolls, Superstar, 15 Minutes, and TV Party.
From Gainsbourg to Lulu ($29)
When a debut album boasts covers by Scarlett Johansson, Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis, and Iggy Pop, it's certainly worth noting! From Gainsbourg to Lulu is Lulu Gainsbourg's tribute to his father, Serge, an influential French singer and musician. In addition to musical talent, Lulu's also got style in his genes: not only is he the half-brother of actress, singer, and former Style Spotlight alum Charlotte, he recently collaborated with Karl Lagerfeld on Chanel's The Little Black Jacket project.
A.P.C. + Carhartt Vest ($300) and Hat ($60)
When you marry two brands known for their minimalist, clean designs, the results are actually far from basic. While the U.S.-based Carhartt makes simple, durable workwear, French label A.P.C. is a cult favorite thanks to its stylish, pared-down collections. We can't wait to cozy up to the outcome of their third collaborative effort for fall, like a versatile knit beanie and quilted vest, available October 20th.--Tiffany Tse
