As a former freelancer, I can attest to the allure of sweatpants and an ancient t-shirt when you don’t have to leave the house to get your work done. At first, there’s a nice sense of freedom in this routine—the feeling that you’re taking a little power away from society's sometimes overbearing style guidelines. But it’s really just a honeymoon period before the less pleasant reality sets in: living in PJs gives way to working from bed which gives way to struggling to actually get your work done.
