The Chic Sweater-and-Jeans Formula That Doesn't Involve Skinnies

This winter, we know it might be easy to rely on your go-to outfit formulas—aka sweaters, skinny jeans, and boots. Sometimes that's okay! But, weather permitting, we'd love to challenge you to switch it up now and then with a totally different silhouette. Our inspiration for this style challenge? Gwyneth Paltrow's latest look. The actress stepped out for a charity event this week in a black Co sweater (available on Goop, of course), crisp Valentino sneakers, and our new favorite denim style—the cut is so unique. They're not quite boyfriend jeans or even wide-leg jeans, but there is a little more room in them than your typical straight-leg jeans. She opted for a simple medium wash and kept her accessorizing to a minimum, so the muted styling helped them still feel totally appropriate for fall and winter.
