Thanks to the F/W 11 fashion-show circuit, we've been treated to a slew of great Alexa Chung ensembles, including your favorite, the look featured above. You spotted the stylish Brit leaving the Matthew Williamson F/W 11 fashion in London late last month, and were thrilled to see her minimalist approach to spring's bold color trend. Chung punctuated her neutral picks--including Celine's Blue and White Breton Striped Sweater Dress ($870, 609.497.0704), Burberry Prorsum's Double Breasted Poplin Trench Coat ($1195), and Topshop's Pippin Suede Heel Ankle Boots ($190, available here in gray)--with a vintage yellow across-body bag and coral-red lipstick. The hints of color are subtle, yet vibrant enough to turn heads, making it a lovely option for conservative dressers. To create a likeminded look, we suggest starting with Day Birger Et Mikkelsen's Striped Cotton Sweater Dress ($205), and styling it with Banana Republic's Classic Trench Coat ($125) and Seychelle's Biography Ankle Boots ($150). Just don't forget to add a pop of color with Cole Haan's Gramercy Collection Zoe Cross-Body Bag ($148) and Yves Saint Laurent's Rouge Pure Shine Lipstick ($30) in Bohemia Rose!
Whitney Port wowed us in a gorgeous white lace Rachel Roy dress at our book party last Thursday, but that's not the only noteworthy ensemble she put together last week! The designer/author/style star stepped out for a coffee break in Los Angeles wearing Rachel Rachel Roy's Oversized Denim Shirt ($79) and M2F Denim Brands' Skinny Leg Jeans ($130, 310.899.3787) in Tiger Lily. The light peach jeans bring a youthful energy to her look and are a fun alternative to typical blue denim. To finish her on-the-go outfit, Port selected Bernardo's X-Ray Clogs ($150) and accessorized with a Dalla Nonna gold heat necklace, Rebecca Minkoff's Navajo Stud Flame Bag ($425) and Fendi sunglasses. To recreate Port's stylish ensemble, we suggest picking up her exact jeans and Madewell's Wayward Jean Shirt ($88) in Desert Willow Wash; just be sure to style them so that the shirt is buttoned up and tucked into the jeans. Finally, pick up ASOS' Leather Tree Tassel Handheld Bag ($90) and Forever 21's F7782 Sunglasses ($6), and you'll have yourself a spot-on outfit that's perfect for spring.
Though Clemence Poesy generally goes for a muted color palette when it comes to her daily rotation, you were delighted to see the Parisian actress/model embracing a dash of color at the Mulberry F/W 11 show in London a few weeks ago. Poesy looked oh-so cute in a delicate, pleated canary yellow dress from the British fashion house's Pre-Fall 11 collection and the Polly Push Lock Bag from the F/W 11 collection. A yellow frock is a simple way to make a standout ensemble, so be sure to check out ASOS' Pleated Long Sleeve Shift Dress ($72) today. If that vibrant hue isn't your cup of tea, you can always try a lively tangerine, like Topshop's Pleated Frill Sleeve Dress ($90), or an electric green, like Milly's Hilarie Pleated Dress ($375). Whatever dress or color you decide works best for you, just remember to accessorize with MICHAEL Michael Kors' Riley Large Flap Tote ($348); the resulting look will be perfect for a fancy dinner or fashion event.
While you do love a bold color combo, you also approve of Sienna Miller's effortless mix of warm neutrals. The actress was snapped leaving a pub in London earlier this month in a crème Maison Martin Margiela sweater styled with Twenty8Twelve's Sienna Jeans ($225, 201.239.1511) and Rag & Bone's Newbury Boots ($495) in Light Brown. Keeping in line with her sober color palette, Miller accessorized with a pair of JewelMint earrings and Louis Vuitton's SC Bag ($4350, 866.VUITTON) in Asphalt. To put together a similar between-seasons look, pick up Splendid's Chunky Knit Wool-Blend Sweater ($185) and Acne's Fade Low-Rise Skinny Jeans ($120). Once you've snagged those key foundation pieces, layer on Rag & Bone's Bleeker Trench ($595) and finish with Nine West's Thelineup Ankle Boots ($54) for a true Miller-inspired outfit
Emily Browning has been at the top of our one-to-watch list for sometime now, so we were delighted to see she's currently on your style radar as well! You were particularly inspired by the recent red-carpet ensemble she wore to the Los Angeles premiere of Red Riding Hood early last week. The Australian actress--her new action fantasy flick Sucker Punch releases next Friday--stepped out in Miu Miu's Red Duchess Strapless Dress ($1675, select Miu Miu boutiques) with Prada's Rose Camouflage Pailettes Clutch ($895, available at select Prada boutiques) and Camel Patent Leather Platform Peep Toe Pumps ($556). The frock's youthful silhouette and striking cherry red hue make it an excellent option for an after-hours soiree, but incase her pick doesn't fit into budget, we suggest checking our Parker's Strapless Dress ($424) and Rare's Pleated Bandeau Chiffon Dress ($99) for similar styles. To finish your party-perfect look, try a nude shoe, like Aldo'sWithey Platforms ($60), which will give you the appearance of an elongated leg--an excellent styling tip you must try!--Jessica Baker
