While mulling over today's installment of What Was She Wearing: Answers!, we had an sudden epiphany: we should turn the spotlight on Gossip Girl! It's a perfect planÂ--what better way could we honor the start of New York Fashion Week than with an ode to the super-stylish TV show? (Plus, the show's season premiere is on Monday!) Sure, the fashion world might be focused on the spring collections, but a new season of Blair, Serena, and all the other chic characters is exciting too! From old favorites to new faces, we found five of the best on-set looks and got all the details on their perfectly styled outfits. You know you love us!

Now before we dive into the specifics of each look, we would like to take a moment to recognize the man behind the fashion phenomenon of Gossip Girl: Eric Daman! Starting his career in fashion straight out of high school, Daman worked as a buyer in a Paris boutique, where he was discovered by photographer Steven Meisel. Daman quickly moved to New York to pursue modeling, and, after a few years in front of the camera, realized his passion for styling. Working under legends like Patricia Field, it was only a matter of time before Daman made a name for himself. Now, between his role as the Gossip Girl costume designer, his new position as Creative Director of Charlotte Russe, and the success of his book, You Know You Want It, it appears he certainly has! We love the way Daman has masterfully created a distinct and original style for each of the GG characters. His work is pure genius, so it's no wonder you can barely contain your excitement for all the killer looks he has in store for us this season! But enough background infoÂ--let's move onto the girls!

Leighton Meester/Blair Waldorf
Blair Waldorf is the essence of Upper East Side chic. So prim and polished, each of her girlish ensembles is flawlessly assembled with tailored, classic pieces, and, needless to say, you die for just about every one of them. One of your favorite looks from the upcoming season involves a Gucci Pre-Fall 2010 dressÂ--paired with black patent Courtney Crawford pumps, a Noir Alexis Bracelet ($125), and Mulberry's Oversized Alexa Bag ($1595, 212.453.4722)Â--that Leighton Meester wore as Waldorf while filming in New York two months ago. Uncertain about how you can capture Queen B's perfectly preppy style? Don't stress, we've got all the bases covered. To start, we suggest Nasty Gal's Spotted with Lace Dress ($52) because it has an oh-so cute Peter Pan collar and cinches at the waist for a similarly neat silhouette. Next, grab a pair of patent leather pumps like Boutique 9's Carly Platforms ($130), and last, but definitely not least, pick up ASOS' Dark Leather Slot Through Satchel ($110), which looks almost identical to Waldorf's Mulberry bag and is also a great go-to carrier for fall!

Jessica Szohr/Vanessa Abrams
Unlike her privileged counterparts, Vanessa Abrams prefers a more down-to-earth, hipster uniform. It's no wonder so many of you are fans; Abrams is not afraid to experiment with her wardrobe, and the results are some seriously stylish ensembles. Snapped in a dressier moment on the Upper West Side last month, SzohrÂ-as-Abrams turned up the girlish charm in a ruffled Catherine Malandrino dress, Gara Danielle's Turquoise and Oxidized Silber Cocktail Ring ($175), Gemma Redux's Jamee Earrings ($216), and Pour La Victoire's Jillanna Lace Up Sandals ($313) in Cognac. In usual Abrams fashion, she incorporated some subtle bohemian flair ini her look with an across-body Radley Hutchinson Medium Across Boy Bag ($238) in Tan. If it's Abrams' charming frock you're after, try Juicy Couture's Paisley Chiffon Ruffle Dress ($278) with her exact pair of sandals and Urban Outfitters' Ecote Whipstitch Cross-Body Bag ($38). Don't forget to incorporate some chic jewelry pieces! We suggest Lisa Stewart's Dangly Chain Earrings ($45) and Torrid's Gold Turquoise Ring ($10) for a little touch of elegance. All together, it's the perfect outfit for your fancier daytime events.

Blake Lively/Serena Van Der Woodsen
One of things you like best about Serena Van Der Woodsen's Kate Moss-influenced style is her willingness to take risks by mixing high and low fashions. You were particularly taken with the brightly colored ensemble Blake Lively wore while playing her alter ego on the Upper West Side two months ago. Lively braved the pouring rain in a turquoise Robert Rodriguez tank tucked into an M Missoni skirt. Her cobalt blue Current/Elliott vest, caged Jean-Michel Cazabat sandals, and Mulberry Neely Tote ($1195, 212.453.4722) complete her playful outfit. Fortunately, you don't have to have the Van Der Woodsen bank account to reiterate her enviable style. Start by heading over to Forever 21 to pick up the Basic Racerback Tank ($5) and Buckled Leatherette Tote Bag ($35), and finish up with a few more thrifty thrills like Eight Sixty's Printed Silk Skirt ($23) and Aldo's Baumler Sandals ($65) for a Serena-approved look.

Katie Cassidy/Juliet Sharp
We don't know much about Katie Cassidy's character, Juliet SharpÂ--other than she will be Nate's new love interestÂ--but we do know that the girl has style. Recently, our inboxes overflowed with your inquiries about her interpretation of the gray-on-gray look, which is a fresh alternative to an all-black ensemble. Cassidy-as-Juliet was snapped on set in Alexander Wang's Collarless Blazer with Cropped Back ($575) over a McQ Shift Dress ($369) with gold zipper detailing while filming in Queens last month. She continued her ash-colored theme with a pair of Givenchy Platform Pumps ($795), and finished her neutral ensemble with Salvatore Ferragamo's Hobo Bag (price available upon request, 800.628.8916) in Beige Python. Gray is a great transitional hue for fall, so for your own take on the trend, try French Connection's Rollin Cap Sleeve Dress ($80), which has a similarly fitted silhouette. Then incorporate an additional layer with Bop Basics' The Fiance Blazer ($198). Now you can always splurge for her to-die-for Givenchy footwear, but Charles David's Pounce Booties ($245) and J. Crew's Bronson Suede Platform Booties ($250) are a fraction of the cost and just as obsession-worthy! All you need now is a relaxed carrier like Rebecca Minkoff's Swoon Hobo ($495), and you'll be sure to make a statement at your next outing.

Clemence Poesy/Eva
Though we have yet to meet Clemence Poesy's character Eva, it appears you are already a big fan of her sweet and simple attire. You were most intrigued by the charming combo of a flouncy mini skirt and lightweight blouse that Poesy wore while shooting on location in Paris back in July. The peach Love Milla blouse is perfectly paired with Rachel Antonoff's Shira Skirt ($230) and Prada Slingbacks (which are sadly sold out) for a look that is tres magnifique! For the final element of her Parisian-chic ensemble, the French actress toted a tan, leather Fendi bag with a ladylike silhouette. To capture Eva's sweetly feminine style, pair Topshop's Cap Twist Sleeve Silk Shirt ($70) with a breezy mini like Banana Republic's Cotton Pleated Skirt ($60) and you are already well on your way. As for her unavailable footwear, make sure you grab a peep-toe heel like Aldo's Whitsey Pumps ($110) or Miss Me Skyler 12 Platform Sandals ($56) and a MICHAEL Michael Kors Hamilton Satchel ($268) to round out your Eva-inspired ensemble.
