  • While we adore analyzing the runways and poring over designer mood boards, we spend a considerable amount of time pondering a more prosaic question: what should we wear? Whether it’s a wedding, work affair, or weekend brunch, getting dressed for specific occasions is a constant conundrum. In the hopes of outfit enlightenment--for us and for you!--we’re delighted to present What To Wear, our weekly wardrobe guide for every occasion. This week, we'll be covering what to wear this weekend.

    The Goal:
Create a laid-back outfit with stylish elements that can go from a shopping excursion to happy hour.

  • Pleather boxer shorts with an elastic waistband are comfortable for a day on the move.

A sporty light sweater sets the tone for the edgy-meets-athletic vibe of the entire look.

  • These go-anywhere boots have the right mix of tough and luxe elements.

Pixie Market Croc Wrap Pointy Boots ($182)

  • A Givenchy-inspired tote will hold everything from a water bottle and snack to a shopping purchase.

    Zara Star Fabric Shopper ($50)

  • Dainty jewelry adds a feminine element to an otherwise androgynous outfit.

Bing Bang Tiny Baguette Ring ($64)

  • Byredo’s Baudelaire unisex scent with notes of juniper berry and black pepper isn’t too girly--the perfect accompaniment to a tomboy outfit.

    Byredo Baudelaire ($145)

  • We’re well-acquainted with the headphones market--in our busy office they can be a necessity--and nothing beats the sleek and stylish look of Frends.
