How to Pack for the Hamptons Like a Fashion Editor
When you care about fashion, as most of us do, packing for a weekend vacation can be tantamount to a full-blown affair. Taking into consideration variables like weather, outings, and their ilk is essential, and finding a way to fit it all into your carry-on is crucial (showing up with a full-size suitcase for two days is a tad excessive).
So when photographer Gray Malin invited me to join him and his team at The Surf Lodge in Montauk to celebrate his artwork being featured in the hotel’s newly designed rooms, I began conjuring the outfits below. If you’re headed to the beach this summer and could use a few pointers on how to craft a curated shopping list that will ensure an effortlessly stylish weekend, scroll down to see and shop what I brought!
An effortless tunic for grabbing a bite or running an errand is essential.

One of my favorite things to do on vacation is indulge in beauty rituals. From face masks to body scrubs to lavender oil baths—it always feels like a special treat, especially when your workweek doesn't grant you sufficient time to do so otherwise!
The nice thing about Montauk is that it's a true beach town, so a night out look can still feel low-key and comfortable. A feminine top worn with wide-leg jeans and cool sandals should do the trick.
My final word of packing advice would be to stick to the essentials in a light color palette. Bring along a small handful of statement items, like a gingham bikini and straw basket bag, and you'll be good to go!
