What Was She Wearing: Rachel Bilson, Rumer Willis, Daveigh Chase, Whitney Port

The first days of fall are so close that—just to get us in the autumn mindset—we’re already taking our sweaters and peacoats out of their garment bags. Since the temperatures won't be chilly enough to wear cashmere for a while, we are thankful for the ladies in today's story for their fresh takes on late summer style!



Rachel Bilson
If you frequently find yourself daydreaming that Rachel Bilson's closet is your own, you are not alone, dear readers. She stirs up envy in our office every time she steps out in public, most recently via the outfit she wore to LA's Crown Bar last month. Bilson mixed a fitted fall blazer, specifically Monrow's Tuxedo Jacket ($295), with a seasonal ikat Myne Printed Silk Skirt ($206). She accessorized with an equally savvy trio: an of-the-moment, black, bowler-shaped Chanel Hat ($1125, 800.550.0005), Jimmy Choo's amazing fringed Diane Hobo ($1495), and a pair of Derek Lam's Astrid Wedges ($203). Rumer Willis
Rumer Willis recently caught your attention on account of her blossoming personal style. Her looks have been consistently fresh as of late, particularly the ensemble she wore to promote The House Bunny at MTV's TRL last month. We are more than thrilled to induct Daveigh Chase into our site today. The Big Love scene-stealer has a natural skill for creating charming outfits that is only matched by her model-like ability to wear them. Chase piqued the curiosity of our readers last month while at the Madden NFL Party at STK in LA. She wore a BDG Equestrian Blazer ($88) with Kimchi & Blue's Chiffon Printed Tunic ($38, 323.653.3231) and a bone Marc Jacobs Carter Wristlet Eugenie ($595, 212.242.2207). She completed her outfit by perfectly exercising fall's over-the-knee trend with a pair of Celine Boots, but you can reach similar results with Steve Madden's Quincie Boots ($270).

Whitney Port
We won't conceal our excitement about the new season of The Hills; we tune in faithfully every week for the drama, but, more importantly, for the clothes. You guys seem to share our affection, as we have recently received a slew of questions regarding the lovely Whitney Port. A few weeks ago, Port was spotted leaving the Diane Von Furstenberg store in the Meatpacking District wearing a Black Shirt Dress ($415, 323.782.0191) from Some Odd Rubies, a vintage belt, and Te Casan's Punch Pumps ($385). Each garment sold at Some Odd Rubies is uniquely crafted from vintage fabric, so Port's frock is a one-of-a-kind.
