What Was She Wearing: Answers!

As WhoWhatWear.com editors, we rarely measure our lives by means of a clock or watch. Instead, we keep track of the weeks based on what trends are popular and what celebrities are wearing at any given moment. In other words, we're most likely to recall a specific day when we can associate it with a particular set of cute clothes. For example, we don't remember too many details about what we were doing on November 24th, but we do know that was the day Kate Moss wore a Marc Jacobs Gold Metallic Tank out to a club in London! For the rest of her attire details (and a few other stylish ensembles, too), read on for our final What Was She Wearing story of the year!

Erin Wasson
Erin Wasson is quite beloved around these parts; just glance at our last few weeks of stories and you'll see what we mean. Since we are so accustomed to following the model’s sought-after personal style, it's a privilege to answer the inquiries our readers send in about her various amazing outfits. Most recently, you requested to know what Wasson wore to the premiere of Filth and Wisdom in New York City. It is our pleasure to report she wore a dress from Nina Ricci's S/S 08 Collection, Emma Cook for Topshop Boots, and a vintage Escada belt. Steal her style with ASOS' Femme Silk and Wool Mix Shirt Dress ($162) or Diane Von Furstenberg's Corinne Dress ($485), Vince's Camuto Calder Booties ($159) and Linea Pelle's Pyramid Studded Waist Belt ($175) or Hip Belt ($200).

Alexa Chung
Once again, we are moonstruck over an Alexa Chung outfit! The self-styled TV presenter captured your hearts, as well, when she attended the British Fashion Awards last month dressed in a Future Classics Zipper Doll Dress ($580, 310.360.8008), hand-me-down leather jacket, vintage Mulberry clutch, and her aforementioned favorite Jonathan Kelsey for Mulberry Boots ($895). If you are in need of a similar, more accessible outfit, try pairing Chung's dress with Delia's Ashton Pleather Jacketicon ($60), RSVP's Ivy Boots ($102), and GlamRock's Studded Clutch ($62).

Chloe Sevigny
To stay on par with our first two featured ladies, we selected Chloe Sevigny as our third muse for the day. Last month, the actress showcased her unique and smart style at the grand re-opening of the Fountainbleau Hotel in Miami by sporting a vintage Azzedine Alaia dress, retro Wrangler Jacket, and Ralph Lauren's Elina Sandalsicon ($435). We suggest constructing a like-minded getup with Topshop's Grosgrain Dress ($145), J. Crew's Nolita Jacketicon ($98), Charles David's Relay Sandals ($138), and Banana Republic's Polished Cuff ($39).

Kate Moss
Since you're probably anxious to know the remaining scoop on Kate Moss' night-on-the-town wardrobe, we'll recount the details right away! Moss wore her Marc Jacobs Gold Metallic Tank ($645, 212.343.1490) with an antique blazer and a vintage pair of over-the-knee boots. For a budget-friendly version of her outfit, we recommend Thayer's Chatter Top ($145), Forever 21's Acadia Blazer ($14), American Apparel's Cotton Leggings ($26), Bed Stu's Hobo Belt ($57), and Love Moschino's Tall Suede Boots ($348).—Jessica Amento

Chloe Sevigny has it all together. Though, I think her denim jacket might look better if it were just a bit longer. I ADORE her sandals though! I just got a similar pair on Shoedazzle.com for about $40. As for Kate Moss, she looks like she's headed for a meeting with Dr. Drew.

I maybe alone on this, but I'm personally am not interested in anything these women are wearing... it all looks lazy or cheap, and I'm sure its neither! Why spend that much time getting dressed to not look good?

Love Alexa's boots!! I bought them on sale from Mulberry this weekend... Merry Christmas to me....

I love outfit number 2 and its totally important to follow that tip. A nice blouse with a cute skirt is totally what I like to wear too! I just like to top it off a look like that with my gorgeous diamond necklace I bought from www.idonowidont.com and I'm good to go when I'm downtown with my girlfriends!

P.S. Am I the only person who thinks Kate Moss is always "same shit different day"? Of course she looks good...she's a model. But I don't find her creatively interesting.

i dont reall like chole's dress or combo what so ever. it would look better if the jacket was a tad darker wash and the dress was a tad longer and maybe a more flattering color for her skin tone. i love her shoes though. :) everyone elses is darling! so useing moss's look for a party i have tomorrow night :)

i love all the outfits on this post, as alexa and chloe are particular favourites of mine, kate moss really can't do anything wrong and erin wasson is a rising fashion icon. well done!

f*** off. Chloe is a GODDESS.

Posted by: greenfairy |  2008-12-11 10:01:46

Chloe is a pig.

omg, can kate moss do no wrong? she is the yummiest mummy of all. i wish that chloe would just get out of prom gear for once, and leave that to her younger counterparts, erin looks deeeeevine, and i'm not even a fan, but she looks remarkably groomed and, dare i say, dressed. alexa, unusually ho-hum., i mean i adore her too in a kind of hate-you-bitch envious sort of way, i mean how can you be so cute and have such a sexy posh voice? thats all.

such strong content!!! Similar as they may be, these outfits are amazing!!!

Posted by: Lovesgemma |  2008-12-11 09:40:06

I have to say this is pretty boring they're all wearing basically the same kinds of things... I want to see something else! A dress and a blazer don't cut it...

Posted by: Taryn |  2008-12-11 08:46:51

I like the color of Chloe's dress. Someday I will find a red lip shade that doesn't look garish on me.

Posted by: SheShe |  2008-12-11 06:39:52

They all look the same. It would be nice to see women representing more classic styles.

Nice selection of ladies for the final WWSW of the year, and love all of their outfits. :3
