As a small tribute to Thanksgiving, we'll kick off this edition of WWSW: Answers! by stating just how grateful we are to the fashion industry and the well-dressed crop of celebs (you know who you are) who keep this story going. It is difficult to recall how we spent our Monday nights before Josh Schwartz graced us with Gossip Girl. Our shameless addiction runs so deep that, in addition to our dogged dedication to the show and its characters, we keep close tabs on the personal style of the show’s actors, too. This way we can appease the zillions of GG-related inquiries we receive. Recently, you wanted to know what everyone's favorite Queen B, Leighton Meester, wore to Lucky Magazine's Lucky Shops Event. Nicole Richie looks fat?! Some people should maybe seek some counseling. That shirt may not be the most flattering to her middle, but she looks NO WHERE NEAR fat!.... that's crazy talk!
Leighton on the other hand, who I love (well, actually Blair:)) does things that maybe don't flatter her shapely figure sometimes... but she always looks great. None of this outfits are flattering at all. I wish I could atleast say I like someones accessories, but they are all sort of blah and I've seen them before. I will say I do like Leighton & Ashleys hair & makeup. Other than that...bleh karen, that is just your opinion. i think she looks fine. anyway, she is not anywhere near fat, i think the shot just makes her look unusually curvy. no need to get too excited luv. i thought the point of clothes is to flatter and express? otherwise they're just fabric (oftentimes ugly fabric) on a hanger. ronnie and karen thank you for being so judgemental! were here for the clothes not there bodies!
but i will say that even though mk's dress is baggy its very flattering and i love that its so cheap!lets all quit being so judgemental & so jealous and yes-i said i know that alot of you wish you were celebrities to get paid to wear beautiful clothes.
Ashley's hair and shoes are adorable, but she's straight up wearing a smock. NR looks like she's having a Chico's kind of day. I think despite Ashley's dress being so big, the whole look is very flattering for her. I'd wear that. Leighton Meester looks really good, I almost bought shoes like that on sale last week, except that I already spent all my money on other stuff. The dress is very short, I wonder if she could sit down... I guess thats not the point. Ronnie - I agree. NR looks fat. That's right I said it. That shirt is atrocious. Who in the world writes in and asks about outfits like these? 1. They're all hideous and 2. Joy Bryant looks ooooo-kay but go to any website that sells clothes and you can find the exact look from top to bottom. Now I know why celebs get zillions for sponsorship. Put a pillow case on them and it becomes THE must-have item (Exhibit 1: Ashley Olsen who looks like she forgot to take off the robe after a hair cut.) but WHO are Nicole's sunglasses by???? that's what I've been dying to know these past several months! anybody know? Yeah... I'm not getting Ashley's dress. I understand that the purpose of clothing isn't always to flatter your figure, but this is just blah. I like th shoes, and her hair and make -up looks aweome as usual. I wish I had big eyes! hmm www, are we not allowed to comment on tory burch?? ronnie, you mean fab right? i mean anyone thinking that NR looks fat here is seriously not seeing straight. she looks cute as always, in spite of her haters (and why?) i actually like the baggy olsen, it looks undone and effortless, especially with the grooming and shoes, nice, leighton, well i just don't dig her style at all, she's so hollywood-teen like, and joy, not feeling it. thats all. Brilliant leighton looks great as always. ashley's dress is 4 sizes to big (it's either a hit or a miss for me with the olsen twins) and the rest are so boring and uninspiring i'm not even going to waste my time on them. nicole richie looks fat

If you look closely there is a belt on Joy's jacket. you can see the buckle hanging down right above her wrist on the hand that isn't holding the clutch. i absolutely love leighton meester's outfit and nicole richie's outfit! both are to die for! i never would've guessed that leighton's dress was marc jacobs though. I love the Pour La Victoire shoes Leighton Meester is wearing!!! I love Joy's jacket! But, are you sure it is the same jacket as the Express one shown in the link? Her's doesn't seem to have that ugly belt the express version has. Anyone know who makes the one Joy is wearing - or is it really Express? ooh first post
I love Leighton's dress she's the best person in GG. Ashley looks perfect as usual and its cool she wearing a budget friendly Mango dress. Byrant has been a favourite of mine for sometime and I've always wanted a leopard print top but I don't like Nicole's one or the F21 shirt. But thats just me. |
