Though we used to spend our summers weaving lanyards or playing capture the flag, these days we are more excited about chasing down information requested by our savvy fans to feature in our bi-monthly story,
What Was She Wearing: Answers! For today's edition, we’ve gathered an exceptional group of well-dressed young ladies who will no doubt satisfy your daily fashion fix. Though the highlighted looks hail from disparate locations ranging from a Beverly Hills boutique to a London lawn party, all of our lovelies share one common thread: you, dear readers, needed to know all about their refreshingly unique ensembles! As always, we are fully equipped with all the particulars regarding your pressing clothing inquiries and are pleased to present our detailed discoveries for your entertainment. The only thing we ask in return is that you keep the
requests coming, and we will be happy campers!
Kate Bosworth
Kate Bosworth was all smiles after catching a concert at the Hollywood Bowl this month. While notably there to take in performances from talented artists such as Jenny Lewis and Ray LaMontagne, it was her ensemble that left you asking for an encore! A WhoWhatWear.com reader favorite, the always-inspiring Bosworth looked as chic and effortless as ever, donning an unfussy floral frock. Thankfully, her Silence & Noise
Floral Tunic ($42) is not only adorable, but it's also just as easy on the wallet as it is on the eyes! Bosworth chose to pair her flower-powered pick with a shimmery Chanel handbag, similar to Nordstrom’s
Quilted Mini Bag
($128), and rounded out her look with Topshop’s Mika Woven Lace-Up Flats (sadly, her exact pair is no longer available). As previously spotlighted in last week’s footwear-focused accessory report,
unisex shoes are back in a big way and most deserving of your attention. Get an equally on-trend style via Steve Madden’s
Melin Brogues
($100) in Cognac or Dru NY’s
Oxfords ($148)—both are very similar versions of Bosworth’s lace-up flats and are sure to keep your soles looking chic.
Nicky Hilton
Nicky Hilton is emblematic of a certain kind of on-trend LA-style, and always looks characteristically cool; however, today, we are putting her outfit front and center, because you, dear readers, were quite enamored by her polished afternoon attire! Hilton's ability to mix breezy pieces with classic staples is always interesting and, in this case, quite inspirational. While running errands in sunny Los Angeles, Hilton combined Seneca Rising’s
Lamson Dress ($110) with Givenchy's
Cutout Sandals
($979) and a boxy Goyard handbag. For an equally laid-back option, try Seneca Rising's
Mesh Mini Dress
($110) Michael Stars'
Scoop Tank Dress
($68) with N.Y.L.A.’s
Lacerta Pumps
($105)—a budget-friendly dead ringer for Hilton’s sought-after footwear choice. Though her custom Goyard bag is certainly an enviable investment piece, we recommend ASOS’
Color Block Tote ($48), which is a look-a-like rendition of this fashion frontrunner’s high-end carryall.
Emma Roberts
As evidenced by the number of Emma Roberts-focused emails in our inbox, it's clear that this young starlet is quickly developing a broad fashion fan base—and for good reason! Roberts chose a strong-shouldered, military-inspired cropped coat from Louis Vuitton’s spring collection as her statement piece to wear to a
Vanity Fair party hosted by Louis Vuitton in Beverly Hills. She kept her look youthful by tempering the formality of her Scoop Net Jacket ($11250, 866.884.8866) with a more casual bottom—specifically, Current/Elliott's
The Skinny Jeans
($279) in Brass Stud Wash. The edgy detailing on the jeans is the perfect accent to dress up denim for an evening event, though these would look just as sharp with your favorite band t-shirt for any daytime activities. Get a similar assemblage by mixing Alloy's
Cropped Military Jacket
($55), which mimics the silhouette and button-front of Roberts' designer duds, with Theory's
Bram Tank Top
($66) and Calvin Klein's
Cora Open Toe Pumps
($98). All in all, we love the
Hotel for Dogs actress' age-appropriate yet fashion forward taste and look forward to the next time we see her out and about!
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley
Though it would be easy to dislike model and former
GOTM Rosie Huntington-Whiteley for looking as good off duty as she does when on the job, we certainly won't hold it against her! The British beauty, seen here at London's Serpentine Gallery party, showed us a thing or two about how to wisely tackle the heat in a bias-cut vintage maxi dress. Flawless in a violet silk frock, Huntington-Whiteley yet again wowed us with her unique selection that looked retro without seeming too costumey or over-the-top. For a similarly divine alternative, try Dolce Vita's
Fanny Dress
($165) as the base of your look, then throw on an embellished jacket for a little flair. Huntington-Whiteley wore a Topshop Jacket, similar to their
Sequin Trophy Jacket ($170), though we suggest that you search your favorite local thrift shop for a like-minded piece (any beaded or sequined eighties outerwear option culled from your mom's closet will also do the trick quite nicely)! —Kelly Agnew

I love all of them! I agree with Eva that Kate's "high/low" pairing is very chic. I think that Nicky's look is a great transitional outfit that can go from work to going out with the swapping of a few accessories. Emma looks amazing, she pulls off the jacket effortlessly and it is perfectly age-appropriate. I love Rosie's dress, though I do think the way it falls on the tummy is a little unflattering. The sequin jacket is amazing though and a great way to add flair to any outfit. Great post!!
