Time Out Corner: Summer
If we have to open a weekly or browse another website showing celebs in little summer dresses—to say nothing of pale fedoras—we think we might scream. Obviously it is hot as hell (the office power went out on Tuesday) and obviously we don’t expect sweltering readers to wrap up in wool coats, but seriously people, we’re putting summer in the time out corner.
Consider this our attempt at a rain dance, or more specifically, an autumn weather dance. In some small part of our small heads, we’re hoping that by placing summer on a time out, this will in turn work some magic on the atmosphere. Crazy, we know, but we’re still hopeful.
If you too are over the heat, the humidity, and the horribly boring outfits, and are anxious to wear our new fall outfits, perhaps the above outfits will give you a little hope that season’s end is in sight. Soon you’ll be able to wear your statement coats, like the cozy gray one Ashley Olsen recently wore in New York, or classic jackets, like the trench Kirsten wore in London. Hopefully in just a few short weeks, you’ll have reason to pull out your opaque tights and boots—perfect garb for a drizzly stomp around town, as Keira demonstrated above.
Until then, we’ll just mope here in a pool of our own sweat, too hot to talk, and dream of woolly berets.

Looking forward to summer here in Australia :) who designs ashley's sunglasses?!?! does anyone know?? perhaps we can see the Kate Bosworth a little more. i love WWWD. help? anyone know about kiera's boots? Wow they both look pretty good...Keira as always is stunning, I wish she wouldent follow trends so much though...she should just be herself...an English Rose! HAAAAA I live in Canada, (the best country in the world by the way) and I can't wait for fall and winter and tons of snow. pretty sure kirsten's bag is Mayle..dont quote me:) Does anyone know what the brand is of Keira's boots? I love rugged boots.
If not, know of any other boots that are similar? count yourself lucky you even get a summer, In London we have had about three days of sunshine since May.
Yesterday I did my first typically autumnal walk in Highgate Woods, kicking the leaves and looking for conkers, in my wellies ofcourse! awww, snow in keira's picture! too bad where i live, we MIGHT get it once a year, and it won't stay on the ground! i am so ready to pull out my suede boots, but it doesn't get cold here in austin till maybe late november or december. ashley's coat sin't form fitting enought. keira looks good but her outfit is alittle too matchy. kirsten looks good. sometimes she looks great and sometimes ugh. one of my friends met her in LA one saturday night and she told him she was "going home to eat some pizza". sometimes she looks like she's stuck in her at home clothes why is said olsen wearing a carpet? but i heart summer New boots and coats excite me for about 2 weeks, then I'm over it. Fall/winter is too cold and depressing. uhhh, LA doesn't even have "real" autumns. Maybe if you were on the east coast this post would be more legit. stop it.
long live summer. Where can i get a fedora like keira's online. I live in seattle and cant seem to find any cute ones like i see in mags. THanks no way god i live in australia and i love the summer! all the hot guys at the beaches, just waking up and going to the beach... NO COLD WEATHER!!! nice tans, cute summer dresses. SUMMER= THE BEST So sick of summer. It may be my least favorite season in terms of fashion, whereas fall is my FAVORITE.
I didn't read all the comments and I'm sure everyone already answered, but Ashley's shoes are Louboutin. I think they're called the Fred loafer or something and they're not new.

i mean, i doubt they're louboutin... I feel bad for Ashley... I've noticed a lot of people (not just on here) just assume both of them are named MK. What happened to the A? I too, am hungry to find out about MK's sunglasses! They kind of look like those masks you wear to sleep, to keep the light out. I ADORE them! come on, someone's gotta know the brand of shoes ashleys wearing. i've been obsessed with them for awhile and searched high and lowww It stayed hot for months last fall. Thanks to the hurricane in central America, we're getting the hot, humid air for now. Fun eh? I envy Europe simply because they get to wear awesome fall/winter fashions. hello electric blue, lacey white dresses, straw fedoras and canary yellow mimco handbags! Maybe the weather in the US is hot, but here in central europe it is sooo cold! I'm wearing my coats already. Thanks for this inspirational entry :). I'm over this hot weather in Ca. I can't wait to break out my jackets again.
