What They Wore: NY Fashion Week Part Two
Welcome back, dear readers, to our continued reporting on Fashion Week mania. There were so many stylish starlets, models, and industry insiders on the prowl in New York for the spring shows this week that we simply couldn’t limit our coverage to a single day. Read on for the second installment of What They Wore: Fashion Week, chock-full of more inspiring ensembles, ranging from the funky (Iekeliene Stange) to the undeniably-chic (Julia Restoin Roitfeld). We hope all you style-voyeurs are immensely satisfied!
1. Olivia Palmero: Socialite Olivia Palmero was snapped in Bryant Park en route to the Ports 1961 show looking timelessly elegant in a classic frock worn with simple, black, peep toe pumps. She toughened up her delicate outfit by adding a tough, stud-embellished belt at her natural waist.
2. Jessica Szhor: Gossip Girl’s Jessica Szhor took a break from life amongst Upper East Side private-schoolers to attend the Rock & Republic show. Dressed appropriately in the brand’s threads, she kept her color-scheme monochromatic and paired her black leather jacket with charcoal jeans, Treesje Asher Bag ($595)
, and snakeskin peep-toe Be&D Slingback Sandals ($495).
3. Agyness Deyn: Always an effervescent fixture at fashion week, model Agyness Deyn looked incredibly spunky as she navigated the tents at Bryant Park. Ms. Deyn tucked an off-the-shoulder top by Chanel into a tattered pair of high-waisted jean shorts worn with spandex shorts peeping out beneath. Carrying a supersized Chanel tote, Deyn donned a pair of circular-framed sunglasses for a completely individualistic look.
4. Lou Doillon: Model-turned-denim-designer Lou Doillon was spotted strolling through Bryant Park in her typically laid back (and fabulously French) style. Doillon combined basic staples—a little black dress, comfy jean jacket, and black bowler hat—for the effortlessly cool look she consistently achieves.
5. Taylor Momsen: Chris Benz captured a Gossip Girl too, as Taylor Momsen showed her support for the up-and-coming designer at his first runway show. The young actress wore a shiny silver metallic tunic with latex leggings and peep-toe booties. Momsen kept her overall look clean with simple necklaces and a large black clutch—we really loved seeing such an edgy style!
6. Chanel Iman: Spotted off-duty around the tents was our former Model Of The Moment, Chanel Iman, wearing a darling multi-tiered floral print dress from H&M. Iman grunged up the girlie frock by adding a denim vest and oversized slouchy black leather boots. Especially befitting, the beauty carried a large Chanel tote.
7. Alexa Chung: Recent WhoWhatWear.com Insider Alexa Chung was spotted leaving Bungalow 8 in a simple long-sleeved dress. The charcoal-black dress from H&M served as a neutral backdrop to showcase her adorable, suede, beaded Jimmy Choo Savannah bag. We adore Chung’s choice of footwear, she sure looked comfortable strutting in a pair of black flats that resembled a pair of penny loafers.
8. Iekeliene Stange: Never one to blend in when it comes to her outfit creations, model Iekeliene Stange stayed true to her reputation and wore a noteworthy look to Ruffian’s after party. Stange sported electric-neon patterned pants that were cropped at the ankle to reveal her checkered socks. She finished her get-up with a striped headband and carried a colorful, tribal-print nineties-influenced bag.
9. Julia Restoin Roitfeld: Our eyes are always peeled for a JRR sighting, and we weren’t disappointed this week. Seen above at Peter Som’s show, Roitfeld stood out in the sea of black outfits in her vibrant green striped cardigan worn over a silk skirt (both by Miu Miu). The always-polished art director (and our former Girl Of The Month) pulled her look together with a black belt, Balenciaga sandals, and minimal Pamela Love jewelry.
10. Kate Mara: Actress Kate Mara attended Brian Reyes’ show and looked both feminine and bold in the designer’s satin top and brush-stroked skirt. Mara added a sharp cropped blazer from Club Monaco and accessorized with chunky Dior gladiator platforms and a studded Alice & Olivia belt.
11. Roisin Murphy: The 3.1 Phillip Lim show always brings out the brightest stars from both Hollywood and the fashion world, but we were pleased to see a few indie attendees as well. One of our favorite sightings came courtesy of Irish electronica singer, Roisin Murphy, delightfully attired in a boyish outfit. Murphy was decked in ultra-dapper pieces, from her bowler hat, to her tuxedo jacket, to her neck-tied blouse, and menswear-inspired cropped trousers. She added a dash of Barnum & Bailey to her cavalier look with an oversized red and white clutch.
12. Daisy Lowe: Yet another of our favorite British style stars, Daisy Lowe, was seen at fashion week outside the Charlotte Ronson show in Bryant Park. Clad in a short, lacy, vintage frock, Lowe wore a cool Native American-inspired necklace around her neck and adorable flat mary-janes. —Allison Wood

Does anyone know where I can find sunglasses like agyness?
I know they are Michael Kors but they are not available.
Where can I find the same? I love A. Dean- I know a lot of people hate her 80s quirk, but she does it without losing her beauty or elegance, and I think it works.
Chanel Iman is my new model crush. She's a pin-thin girl who doesn't look sickly or emanciated, and her face is so fresh. She can do no wrong in my book!
How does Daisy not look skanky in that?! IDk, but she's a very cute girl! Alexa Chung looks like every other hipster on the street, but only with a large bank account. Aggy/Laura just pisses me off. CHANEL, ALEXA, DAISY, LOU, JULIA & ROISIN look FAB! the rest look crap. i hate the gossip girl girls - enough. blah. disasterous. except for olivia Where can I find those pants on number 8? her outfit's okay, though. Agyness Deyn looks terrible she is my favourite model and she usualy looks pretty good but she looks really bad in that photo I really love Chanel's look. I've been trying to find a pair of boots like the ones she's wearing for forever. I would love to know where exactly she bought them.
As for Agyness, A+ for originality and having the confidence to wear something like that.
Oh, and you bruise easily if you have an iron deficiency. not that into many of these looks...palmero, szhor, chanel iman (do agree that she is positively skeletal though, but that is besides the point i suppose...), do the best though. oh, and i love chung's bag! Im sorry but what the hell was agyness deyn thinking? I know she loves to be unique, but she looks like a mugged sailor in that outifit!! i love all the shoes nd ive been looking for a dress like daisy's forever! too bad lou didnt get any looks from her mom Jessica Szhor reminds me of Emily Blunt (from the Devil Wears Prada) in that picture. Taylor looks absoultely RIDICULOUS. look at that hideous haircut.
the only ones i really like are Jessica (2) Chanel (6) and Alexa (7). Deyn's glasses remind me of Lady GaGa at the 2008 NewNowNext Awards, but I'm not really feeling the rest of her look (Except maybe the bag also...)

x As much as I love(d) Agyness Deyn, I'm really not loving this look. Kudos for being daring and having her own style, but I personally think she could have done SO much better with the sunglasses.
I love almost everything else, especially Chanel and Jessica. Also, does the Chris Benz dress in #5 have stains all over it? Yikes, Chanel Iman is adorable but she needs to plump up a bit. Also, please tell Crazy Pants #8 that wackiness does not equal style -- come on, how much time did she spend finding those mismatched socks? These outfits are all either nice but obvious (ie, no inspiration), or so ridiculous that I'd can't take them seriously. re: look #3: oh no, not cutoffs with spandex shorts underneath again. Can't we leave the worst of the 80's behind? what's next shoulder pads? ugh with the bruises, not pretty. roisin looks brilliant, i would SO wear that, alexa to me is the most beautiful thing,iekeliene yuk, gossip girl looks pretty rad for her, olivia, cute...as for julia and chanel, they always have these stupid faces in pics. chanel looks like she may just blow away with the slightest puff of wind. Um, is it just me or are you suppose to see the black undies for #12? Other then that everything is nice. The only looks I truly like are 1, 2, and 7. I love the simplicity of them and the fact that they successfully mastered the difficult task of dressing during the summer to fall transition time. Deyn looks, I don't even know. Taylor Momson is dressed too old for her age, while Chanel hit the mark perfectly with her age and season appropriate outfit. 12 is way too summery for my taste, and I agree with the posts saying that many of the rest are trying too hard and too contrived. i like 1, 3 and 7
all the rest are just ok. 4, 6 and 7 are my favourite! Stange also looks great but I don't like the pants - she pulls them off fine, I just don't like them but I admire her individuality! AD's new hair looks like a helmet and Daisy Lowe is wearing her see-through dress... again. Love Kate Mara! What a lady-like look! Very different from all of the rest...
I also love Alexas look, again, struck gold with simplicity.

p.s. these posts have been sooooooo disappointing....and chanel= too skinny!! Yikes!!! I hate Lou no 4. Seeing her makes me wanna puke, sorry, no offense. I don't care who's daughter she is, her mouth needs surgery, her whole look needs a new French makeover=SO UGLY. She's just been featured cos of her celeb parents. I'm not crazy of the entire looks. My fav is only Alexa and no 2. What is it with british girls that dress sooo ew. (AD, Daisy Lowe, Stange). Form the comments many of you leave it sounds like you all dress the same. Who are Alexa's shoes by? YSL? Prada? Roisin's hat is a top hat and I don't know what kind it is, but Lou's isn't a bowler hat either. Lou, Alexa and especially Roisin are the only ones that interest me much from this bunch, even though I do like other outfits from Iekeliene and Julia, just not the ones posted. S. where can i find a pair of spandex shorts with lace trim like AD? been trying to find a pair for ages!! h&m makes such shitty clothes i can't be the only one who recognizes this!
daisy lowe looks the best, normally i would say alexa but i think she's missing something here. she needs her hair down or something in her hair like a cream colored satin ribbon to offset the darkness. she could have even tied it into her ponytail/chignon or whatever she's got going on back there.
and the girl with the funky pants is pleasing to the eyes, but she overdoes it for the sake of trying to look like she doesn't give a fuck. Alexa Chung looks pretty skeletal too. Love Lou and JRR. I loved Jessica Szhor's look! Taylor Momsen looks like she's homeless...I think Chanel Iman gets her pictures taken and then passes out for the rest of the time...Please, someone feed her!!!
