I'll be attending a black-tie event for New Year's Eve. I definitely want to wear a dress, but not a gown. What are some good looks to go for? New Year's Eve is the most special holiday for fashion because it's your chance to really go for it—the more glitzy and glamorous your look, the better! Obviously, my first instinct on this celebratory occasion is to reach for some sequins. Pull out all the stops in a striking gold sequin dress, asymmetric blush sequin frock or even a backless black sequin number. No matter the color or silhouette you choose, as long as your dress shines and the fit is right, you are destined to shut it down when the ball drops! If sequins aren't really your thing—crazy talk!—there are other stunning dress styles to be considered too. You can never go wrong with a classic black dress, but I recommend opting for something more than a plain LBD. Think: ruffles, lace or, one of my personal favorite silhouettes, a timeless off-the-shoulder number to keep things interesting. No matter which dress you decide on, be sure to finish the look with some unforgettable accessories, like metallic tights, seductive pumps and sparkly earrings. I promise you will knock 'em dead! My final words of advice? Don't be home by Midnight! xoRZ
