I guess looking crazy is now consider stylish!! Not all youngins are "quirky & stylish"... I'm 23, and I prefer a prettier, cleaner palate... something that lets my natural beauty shine through! (not conceited, I just like to wear my clothes and not the other way around.) I liked the comment about "wearing what you feel good in".
Anyways, #2 & #4 are hot... something you haven't seen in a fashion magazine, but could. Beautiful girls, stylishly dressed, but not contrived. Perfect. I agree, this is all very boring. I live in the city and girls were wearing this stuff months ago.
WWW needs to keep up, #3 is especially horrifying. Can one get anymore contrived than a marc jacobs logo tote, american apparel skirt and an over-sized beret?
oh deary me, you teens do get hormoaaaaanal dontcha! did wwwd say somewhere that this was for youngsters? hmmm...the POINT is that for people who know something about a thing or two about fashion, THIS is boring, it looks like they used their imagination with the crap they had available, and frankly it looks cute (AWWW!!!!), but UNINSPIRING, and when y'all grow up, you'll get it. until then, whatever. I especially love Taghrid and Laurel! (2,3) They are stylish girls with great blogs. I also like 1 a lot, but I've never seen her before. All excellent picks though... good job... definitely just subscribed to this blog!
xoxo,
snowshoevintage.blogspot.com thanks so much to WWWD for the feature!
xo
taghrid.blogspot.com a LOT of the WWW posts are very suited to over 30s crowd, there are some very sophisticated, classy trends that they report.
Myspace Muses is rarely one of them. You can't win em all. I'm sorry I confused quirky, trendy and stylish with fashion. I guess I am the one who is confused. (tounge in cheek)Not whining just expecting a little bit more from WWWD since I normally am on board with their choices. And for the record, if you are over 30 you can still be quirky, trendy and stylish. Not sure why that was ever a question, but the day I wear doc martens again is the day I should be shot. Thanks Amber ^^ Tan: Number 3's skirt is from AA.
Hiii!! Im number 6!! Thank you WhoWhatWear and anyone who left nice compliments!!!
http://becauseimaddicted.net/ Does anyone know number sixes blog? BLINKBUNNY:
I think this blog is directed toward trends and fashion today. And I agree, that most people 30 and over can't wear some of these items. So, yea, whats you're point? Older people do have a different style from younger people. We're quirkier, trendy and stylish. You're stylish, sophisticated and classic. So, again, what is your point? That you can't wear some of these items? boo hoo. Find another blog. Fashion does repeat itself, and you're not SUPPOSED to wear a floral dress you wore in 94. You wear what you feel great in. That's what fashion is. So.... if you dont feel great in a floral dress, who says you have to wear it. Nobody. ONE: tooo simple, cute, but i wish the dress had some sort of shape to it. There's something about it that looks like it was accidently put together but she obviously thought about it too much. TWO: i really like the floral dress, she's got a really tiny tiny waist, so it makes her hips look kinda big, but hey, those are baby-makin' hips. THREE: Hate. the. tights. It's too much, she's young and pretty, show some skin, flaunt what you got! FOUR: Classy and stylish, but i'd personally perfer a shorter skirt. FIVE: Love. SIX: Cute casual outfit, hate the hairstyle though. Love the shoes, looks cute and super comfy.
TAN. the skirt is from american apparel. Hey I've only seen #4 blog. She has a blog where she puts together her own editorials. Her blog is alafemme.blogspot.com. P.S. Her shoes are amazing. These girls all express their own personal style so well. Lynne is an idiot. Someone always has to be the martyr. What Lynne said. Wow, jerk much? The point of these girls and their fashion choices in these photos (which might or might not show their real day-to-day style) is not so you guys can criticize, it's so that WWWD can show some trends. So what if you can't wear it because you're over 30? GET OVER IT!! We're all gonna be over 30 someday, let these girls enjoy it, don't criticize them for wearing whatever they want. Besides, what in fashion nowadays IS original? And the whole, two years ago thing with the bag, who gives a care? It's a bag, and not everyone is so obsessed with style that they have to have the latest fashions, get over yourselves and accept these fashions. Geez... please help! What is the brand of No'3 yellow skirt?
i really want it now! > <~ These girls all have such fabulous style! who what wear really needs to have a general comment section. someplace where subscribers can send messages about what we like/dislike or what we want to see.
i would love to see a piece on kira plastinina. all these teen magazines seem to be portraying her line as like a "stuff by duff" esque style. and its really not. i know who what wear can make her seem way better. WOW she has a great blog, I'm defininetly going to add her to blog bloglovin.com list! yeh, i agree: utterly utterly boring. though i know that myspace is the hotbed of teenagers and early 20s kids, there must be more original outfits to mine somewhere. seriously, yawn... no.'s 2+5 are cute but not exactly pushing any boundaries....
and no.3? in-your-face logo bag and everyone-has-it aa skirt = B-O-R-I-N-G. jealousy and a reality check are two different things. Firstly, they are all adorable but what looks cute on an 18 year old looks ridiculous on someone over 30. Women over 30 have much more disposable income and sometimes I find it quite condescending that 'fashion' is the equivalent of what I wore at the age of 18. 15 years later, I am supposed to wear a floral dress almost identical to the same thing I wore in '94? Sorry young 'ins...not gonna happen. Have your fun with them now. I am staying away this time..... wow...i'm along the side of two of my inspirations (taghrid and Geri, love them!) thanks for the nod WWW ;) you made my week :D
un-apologetic.blogspot.com
I totally disagree with all of your negative comments. Stop acting like such little twits and appreciate how cute these girls are! Nothing worse than jealousy. they look like they cut pictures out of nylon and studied exactly what they had on.
and poorly.
i am unsubscribing to WWW because you guys started sucking all of a sudden. blinkbunny, i agree, i am WAY over 30, i've worked in fashion all my career, i think the thing is ......do you post pictures of yourself on myspace? there probably aren't any pics of us around unless it's on the sartorialist, and then these girls don't often feature on there because they, sorry, just look like little girls. which of course they are, sweet, but not exactly riveting stuff. Taghrid and Ching are my faves. :) Hmmm JBinTokyo has a point. Which of these would get a second glance on the street. In my town I'd give #2 floral with the belt a second glance. And #6 with the jacet, but I'd be like wtf is up with the jacket and the short shorts? Cut-off super-short jean shorts with heels don't get play in my town--unless you are in the hood. Everything else is so quirky/trendy that I've already seen it a million times. loveee the florals! loving both the floral looks. Bottom left girl looks awesome! Love the simplicity and creativity. i want #4s shoes please! anyone know who makes them? they look like balenciaga Numbers 1-3 suck and are uninspiring. They lack originality and the girls seem like they're trying too hard. A Marc Jacobs bag that says "Marc Jacobs" on it in huge bold letters? Really? That's a little obnoxious and a little two years ago.
The bottom three are all cute and I would glance at them twice on the street, but number four is the most striking. Wow, I was thinking of unsubscribing to WWW because I haven't liked much recently, but 2, 4, and 5 all look pretty great to me. And 3, if I ignore the too-clunky boots and beret.
Agree with 'mother' below, though -- what's going on on that floor? I'm not a fan of the mopey/disinterested posing, or the pigeon-toed look of 2 and 6. Let's just stand like normal people, maybe. i've always been a fan of the chunky black heels. look five with the blazer is the best of the bunch www.sugarrockcatwalk.com I love the ongoing trend of chunky black shoes.
Wondering if you would like to take a look at my blog to see if any of the pictures are worth posting here?
http://premauflage.blogspot.com
I don't have many readers as yet and I'd like to get it going. I like the girl with the floral dress and the edgy shoes. It's a nice mix and she looks girly/sexy/cool. Love it!
http://ebayfashionaddict.wordpress.com just a quick thought....all are tres cute but why none over 25? I am over 30 and still manage to be stylish! Next time have some hotties with style who have been able to legally drink for over 10 years! I recognize Taghrid and Geri and love to visit their blogs for inspiration. Anyone know the links to the other girls' blogs?
http://mimisview.blogspot.com/ what are the bottom row girls looking at on the floor?
i like all of the shoes in this post! Gal in the bottom left-hand corner, or #4 looks too much like me, so I got distracted and don't even really have an opinion on this post. I'm just having an "omgwtf" moment. very interesting. number 4's shoes are hawt. you should change it from myspace muses to chictopia.com muses!!! |
