Myspace Muses: June
Thanks to colorful outfit choices and de-bundled ensembles, this month's crop of MySpace Muses has us humming "Here Comes the Sun" and working on our warm-weather style. The timing is perfect: after all, what are the free and easy days of summer if not a time to experiment with awesome ensembles? The longer days just mean more opportunities to change your clothes, right? Indeed! As such, we were delighted to find such a wild array of ladies wearing everything from peek-a-boo leggings to shrunken vests to bold turquoise stripes. Just look to these fashion-forward examples for inspiration; they're the best way to free yourself from feeling the June gloom.
Skinny jeans and lace-up boots blend well with a floral frock.
Our first muse, Jen, 24, from Georgia, teaches us a little something about what it takes to master modern Southern-belle style! Although skinny jeans tucked into lace-up boots is not necessarily something Scarlett O'Hara would don, Jen sweetened up these city-girl standard pieces by pairing them with a floral frock. Achieve your own version of Jen's budding personal style with JET's Bolt Pocket Skinny Jeans ($159) and your favorite ankle booties. We like LD Tuttle's The Prospect
($550) version for a trendy take on a closet staple—the open-toe design is perfect for a warm-weather wardrobe. And of course, you can't finish this look without paying homage to a trend in bloom (that would be unfussy florals)! Try Urban Renewal's Floral Knit Tank Dress ($48) for a piece you can easily layer a sweater and blazer over—ŕ la Jen—or Kate Moss for Topshop's Floral Printed ($100) version for a little more movement and prairie flair.

A safari-inspired palette is a spring-and-summer staple, but this standby looks particularly current when brightened up with a pair of nearly white jeans as Shini, 22, from London, deftly demonstrates. Steal a page from her style-file with J Brand's Ankle Stretch Skinny Jeans
($179), then further update the look with a safari jacket in a summery, short-sleeve style. We recommend the Joie

Noelle, 26, from LA, shows off an amazing mix-and-match spirit with her intriguing blend of past and present. By juxtaposing a vintage-inspired romantic top with a body-con skirt and sturdy boots, she created an outfit that's both unique and covetable. This lovely look is all about balance, so choose an easy basic like Topshop's Paneled Body-Con Skirt ($44) and pair it with a sweet top. We like See by Chloe's Short Sleeve V-Neck Ruffle Blouse
($240) —it also makes for a great "date-top"—or Nom De Plume By YAYA's Embroidered Gauze Racerback Tank ($68) for less of an investment. The tank's ruffle-trimmed scoopneck and subtle embroidery make it the perfect choice for summer nights. And finally, throw on your favorite pair of lace-up boots you still have lingering around from winter, or spring forward with Dolce Vita's Reno ($155), a trendsetting choice with cool cutouts and a wedge heel.

Everyone loves it when a fail-safe classic gets a much-needed update, so it's no surprise we adored this modern menswear outfit, courtesy of Diane, 21, from Atlanta. It's totally traditional, yet the bright-striped blouse updates it in a chic and spot-on (or should we say striped-on?) way. You can recreate Diane's polished look with a standard black trouser from your own closet or Banana Republic's Martin Stretch Cotton
($79) version. Top your trousers off with a turquoise-stripe top, like the Lauren by Lauren Priya Striped Shirt ($80), to inject a similar dose of cool into this elegant look.

Her cut-out leggings may be a sartorial wild card, but she made this tricky style look smooth by keeping the rest of her outfit simple and modest. Here style is unique, and her blog is one I check out almost daily. I find most europeans are heads and tails above anyone in the states when it comes to fashion. She is how I wish I could dress. That jacket is killer.
Most of the other ladies are quite normal. Very a typical of what you see walking down the street in L.A.
Though #3's outfit I dig. ew to all, atleast michelle is experimenting with those leggings, it just doesnt work. noelle looks okay i guess. number 4 is disgusting. so is one and two oh and six im not really impressed. I also agree that WWW is all about trends, so why is everyone upset about them reporting trends? And can someone PLEASE tell me why there is so much infatuation with Michelle's outfit? I don't really see a problem with her leggings, but more so with the top of her outfit. An orange sequined blazer? And whats with the gray loine cloth? Is she channeling her inner Michael Jackson/Tarzan/ The Grudge? I actually like Michelle's look. Of course I am a huge fan of Isa and the lot but Michelle looks truly original. I couldn't pull it off, but I appreciate the look and I adore that shade of citrus!

I know it's ya'lls jobs to be on top of the trends, but everything has been looking the same for a while. These girls are so clearly influenced by all things "now" that their individualism is nowhere near apparent.
