With the holidays around the corner, what can I pair with a sequined mini skirt?

I absolutely adore the holidays! Nothing compares to the glamour and magic of end-of-the-year events and celebrating with acquaintances and friends around you. I also jump at any chance to rock anything that sparkles and shines, and the festive season is obviously the best moment to bust out some sequins.

When wearing your sequined skirt, or anything adorned with reflective discs, I find it best to stick with a classic black and white color scheme; this tip will ensure that your sequined mini is the center of attention without overwhelming. Pair your mini with a white button-up blouse, but instead of the traditional collared blouse, try a crewneck that fits a little loose and comes in a beautiful silk chiffon; this silhouette and material will make you shimmer throughout the night! As for outerwear, go with something more contemporary and fashion-forward, such as a cropped blazer with a waterfall lapel or a collarless leather jacket with a quilted texture.

In the accessories department, a mini skirt during the holiday season gives you the perfect excuse to include a pair of satin-finish tights for your very own Blair Waldorf persona. Cover your feet with either sleek and sexy patent leather pumps or some lace-up ankle booties with cool, understated, gold and snake print accents.
