What is the best way to wear a faux fur vest? I'd love some outfits and tips!
You've come to the right person—obviously my collection of faux fur vests are among the most cherished pieces in my wardrobe. I think what makes them so great is that they are versatile enough to be worn with a ton of different looks; there is no one best way to rock them.
If you want to work a faux fur vest in the office, I recommend throwing it on over a classic printed shirtdress with sweater tights and closed-toe pumps to tie it all together. This ensemble is professional yet fashion-forward at the same time and ultimately the perfect winter look for anyone working in a creative field.
Taking the trend into evening, give your go-to LBDs a rest and pair your vest with a silk blouse, tux pants—one of my favorite fall pieces—and ankle booties. The outcome will be very Parisian chic with a touch of '70s flare—a totally unexpected and cool outfit for night.
For a casual daytime or weekend look, my instinct is to team a faux fur vest with a long sleeve knit sweater, skinny jeans and leather riding boots. Add a fetching necklace to glam it up and you are set. I love to wear a similar ensemble when traveling because the faux fur is cozy and comfortable, yet helps me feel glamorous and effortlessly pulled together when I arrive at my destination.
