I'm attending a baby shower this October, what should I wear? I'm a New Yorker and the weather may be chilly.

Typically for a baby shower, you will find yourself in a brunch or lunch setting, so when it comes to your wardrobe, think: early afternoon apparel—something light and airy.

If you choose to go with a dress, opt for a classic belt wrap silhouette. The shape is timeless and ultra feminine, plus it will flatter almost any body type. Don't be afraid to get creative and shop for one in a floral print—florals are not just a thing for spring! Of course, since you are in New York and chilly weather is a concern, you can try a printed jacquard sweater dress—talk about versatility and functionality! If you prefer separates instead of a dress, I recommend a long printed skirt paired with a chicly subtle button-down blouse.

In terms of outerwear, I propose two fab options—a little leather jacket or an elegant trench coat.
