Victoria Beckham's Attitude Toward Aging Is Just What We Need to Hear
Victoria Beckham is such an undeniable superstar in the fashion industry that it can be hard to remember that she originally made a name for herself as a pop singer, not a designer.
She graces Elle UK's upcoming May issue, and she gets candid about the musical period of her life by talking about her insecurities, her feelings about aging, and why working in fashion has made her happier than her Spice Girls career ever did.
"Being in the Spice Girls was so much fun, but I was never the best singer or dancer. I learned an enormous amount during that time, though: the staging, the lighting, the costumes—the package excited me. But I love fashion—this is what I'm genuinely interested in," she said in the Elle UK interview. "When I look back at my past self, [the way I dressed and behaved] was probably a sign of my insecurities. I feel quite confident in myself now—getting older doesn't bother me."
