Calling It: You're Looking at 2017's Version of the Choker

There was much to see at Donatella Versace's Versus show in London last night. Both Bella and Gigi Hadid stalked the strobe-lit warehouse-style runway like the fashion panthers they are. The crowd was dressed to the nines and looking for a party. Tinie Tempah chatting with Natalie Massenet (who knew?) and flashbulbs popping over Jourdan Dunn, Daisy Lowe and Ellie Goulding, who were just a fraction of the celebs who filled out the FROW.

Then there were distractingly slashed skirts, an enviable pink puffer coat, skin-tight leather skinnies and lace-up boots that made everything look a bit tougher. Those have been shortlisted, but the number one fashion takeaway we will adopt without delay is the brand's fresh take on the choker. Keep scrolling to see our favourite looks from the Versace Versus show, and see what the new choker will look like.

We can't wait to get our hands on that pink puffer jacket.

Just when you thought this jewellery train had run out of steam, along comes another iteration with "Instagram winner" written all over it. Quite literally: These thick chokers were stamped with the VERSUS logo in bold monochrome lettering. A hack that we actually noticed in the recent Nike campaign with FKA Twigs (our inside sources tell us she cut the elastic bands of the clothing to fashion into DIY chokers). So, even if you can't get your mitts on the Versus versions, the trend is in reach… if you fancy getting all Blue Peter this weekend.
