Scarves
Scarves, glorious scarves! We've become so dependent on these outfit-helping accessories; it's almost hard to imagine getting ready without one. Like style safety blankets, they make us feel cozy and reassure us when we're worried our outfits are bland. After all, how could we look less than wonderful with an interesting scarf wrapped around our necks?
Right now, you're probably getting a little sick of your sturdy and serviceable scarves, so we decided to show you some of our favorite spring versions instead. All are lightweight, lovely to the touch, and unwaveringly hardworking. In other words, they'll add that crucial finishing touch to your favorite casual ensembles. Each scarf is even better in person than on the page (er, screen), so don't hesitate to pick one up today!
1. Madewell Fringed Knit Scarf ($29.50)
Fall's fringe details are still on trend for spring and are showing up on some of our favorite new scarves. We love the dramatic look of Madewell's gray version; the deeply cut tassels add a dramatic touch to the simple design. We'll wear this lightweight cotton scarf over an equally thin tank all summer long!
2. Bindya Hand-Painted Cashmere Scarf ($175)
As a part of our rigorous Top 5 testing process, we make sure that the chosen products are not only attractive, but also exemplary in all other areas. Bindya New York's gorgeous pastel-spotted scarf passed every exam with flying colors. In addition to its delicate beauty, the finely woven cashmere is tissue-thin and heavenly to the touch. We think it's the perfect piece to wear with Current/Elliott's Shrunken JJ Denim Jacket ($265) in the new Trash Wash, as shown here!
3. H&M Scarf ($24.90)
H&M made many noteworthy options this season, but of all their offerings, we're most fond of this specific scarf. Its price is divine and the extra-long style means you can double-wrap it -always a cool look. Additionally, the color palette is perfectly current, as it allows you to embrace the nude and neutral hues that were all over the spring runways.
4. Yarnz Bohemian Web Scarf ($165, Available at Shopbop.com
next week.)
The entire WhoWhatWear.com office let out a collective sigh the moment we pulled this brightly patterned scarf out of its box. The bold kaleidoscope pattern is so striking; somehow it manages to look vintage and totally modern simultaneously. Aside from the lovely pattern, the scarf is made from a blend of cashmere and silk blend, so it will be the perfect lightweight piece for the breezy days ahead.
5. Sunshine & Shadow Geo Scarf ($135)
We've had a crush on designer Lily Raskind's line, Sunshine & Shadow, for ages now, particularly her perfectly produced silk scarves. Recently, we've been sweet on the hand-dyed Geo Scarf-with good reason, of course. It will add a pop of acid pink to your outfit, which is the perfect way to perk up classic pieces or neutral ensembles.
