It may be hard to believe, but even our style icons have style icons. Sometimes it's easy to forget that the women we look up to also had someone they looked up to for everything from style to career and more. But they of course did, and today we're focusing on bringing you a list of who some of the most interesting people in fashion look to for style inspiration.

This insider information came to us by way of Create & Cultivate, an organization dedicated to leading women in business. In partnership with Chevrolet, Create & Cultivate launched its third annual Create & Cultivate 100 List, highlighting "100 women across 10 categories who are making moves and re-defining the future of the workplace and the world," the organization shared with us. The women featured below were previously interviewed for the C&C 100 website and today, we're here to dig deeper into their responses to the question "Whose style do you love?”

Ahead, get ready to hear from some of the most well-respected women in this industry, including Olivia Palermo, ShionaTurini, and more on the women they look to for style inspiration.

"Besides the women I previously mentioned (Carolina Herrera, Diane von Furstenberg, Maria Grazia Chiuri, Victoria Beckham), I really love to take style inspiration from eclectic sources: everyday girls on the street that I observe in my travels and can incorporate elements of their style in my own, and the mature women of the Upper East Side of Manhattan who have a certain air of sophistication which I have always admired."

"Diana Ross is my number one style icon. She's bold and unapologetically fabulous. Mahogany is one of my favorite movies - She's a vision in bold colors and dramatic flair. I also have the pleasure of working and collaborating with Melina Matsoukas. She has an incredible sense of style and vision; her finger is on the pulse of the upcoming and new and she isn't afraid to take risks with fashion."

"I've never been celebrity or model obsessed, for me I’m way more inspired by the real women and men I see living their life—looking rad, making it happen. Literally, I love unique street style on anyone from a child, a peer, a mom, grandma, guy or girl, I respect it and it inspires me in all forms all the time.

"I also love classic and antique jewelry, especially Art Deco and retro styles as a source of inspiration. I'm a nerd for it, a true geek and could probably could win a Jeopardy category on jewelry design over the last 200 years.

"I know all antique pieces, their designers and their techniques. I look at old renderings and enjoy just taking them in, I appreciate construction and technical function of pieces."
