Fashion Week Part 2

Fashion Week Part 2
As the Fall 2008 shows wind to a close in New York, we're most delighted to offer up part two of What They Wore: NY Fashion Week. We cannot stress how much we look forward to these biannual fashion events and how they always acts as a panacea for our eyes. Without fail, the mix of models, socialites, and the more fashion-forward celebs is rejuvenating and invigorating, so enjoy browsing the above looks!

One of the most photographed girls-about-town is Genevieve Jones and the fashion-loving lass made it out for many Fashion Week events. She hit on several of spring's most-discussed trends-floral prints, belts, and standout shoes-while attending shows at the Bryant Park tents. Moving right along, next we have Erin Wasson, our favorite model/stylist, who looked every inch the downtown muse backstage at Alexander Wang. Wearing a self-described "crown of thorns" headpiece from her excellent new jewelry collection LowLuv, leather Elise Overland pants, Nina Ricci shoes, and a t-shirt from Wang's brilliant fall collection, Wasson was a knockout, per usual. Another New York social scenester, Olivia Palermo, was the picture of understated chic at the tents with an interesting gray coat offsetting her simple black outfit. Angie Harmon and Amy Smart were also studies in restraint elegance. Harmon showed up at Proenza in chartreuse cocktail dress from the fall collection while Smart covered her bright blue Diane von Furstenberg Tai frock with a sharp military coat.

Ginnifer Goodwin, seen above hanging out in the W Hotel Lounge in the Bryant Park tents, showed off what seemed to be a micro-trend in the footwear department this week-gray heels (also seen on Rihanna in yesterday's story and Mandy Moore, to name a few). We also adore her impractical but lovely white overcoat. One of The Row's diminutive designers showed her spot-on taste at the amfAR gala. As one proactive WhoWhatWearDaily.com reader wrote, Ashley Olsen looked like the stylish physical interpretation of Gustav Klimt's The Kiss in Missoni. We couldn't have said it better ourselves! Super stylist Rachel Zoe was in town for Fashion Week, naturellement, with a crew from her Bravo show in tow. Snapped outside the tents, Zoe is impeccably groomed and intriguing as always. Your final look for today's story comes courtesy of Mandy Moore, who was in town to support Max Azria and Peter Som. She wore an ultra body conscious gray Herve Leger bandage dress underneath a double-breasted jacket in this season's favorite electric yellow hue.
