The Devil Wears Prada Fans Have Been Waiting for This News

Maybe you're a fashion girl who loves The Devil Wear Prada so much that you've memorized the script. Maybe not. But at the very least, everyone knows the book or movie, which have been topics of conversation in the fashion world for at least the past 10 years—even as far as Anna Wintour is concerned. And now the story is coming to the Great White Way.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Elton John and playwright Paul Rudnick are currently working on a musical based on both the original novel and film that gave us classic lines like "I refuse to be sick—I'm wearing Valentino for crying out loud," and "That's all." The project, which was first teased in 2015, does not have a set premier date as of yet, but we're hoping it's sometime within the next couple years.

I’m a huge fan of both the book and the feature film, and a huge aficionado of the fashion world,” said John in a press release about this project. “I can’t wait to sink my musical teeth into this hunk of popular culture.” And with a name like Prada in the title, we also are quite excited to see what this production will produce as far as costumes go.
