#TBT: When Twiggy Changed The Modeling World Forever

In 1949, in a small northwest suburb of London, an It-girl named Lesley Hornby was born. Best known by her professional nickname, Twiggy, she would grow up to perfectly capture the ‘60s youth, beauty, and fashion culture, thanks to her doe-like dyes, androgynous haircut, and slim physique. This Thursday, we dedicate a special throwback to the first British supermodel. The timing is quite inspired, if we do say so ourselves. The Swinging Sixties were trending all over the F/W 14 runways, and it’s never been cooler to show off your inner mod.
