With so many stylish cities across the globe--Paris, New York, Stockholm, and Sydney, we're talking to you--it's sometimes easy to forget that we have a whole crop of fashionable and noteworthy femmes right here in our very own backyard. To prove this point, we're shining the light on one of our favorite Los Angeles-based bloggers, Julie Sarinana of Sincerely, Jules, in this month's Style Stalker story! Routinely outfitted in an inspiring mix of fluid separates, on-point prints, and desirable accessories, Sarinana makes effortlessly chic dressing look like a breeze, earning her thousands of devoted followers and our title of style savant.
While it's obvious Sarinana is an easygoing Southern California girl through and through, we have to applaud the fact that our stalkee upholds a polished aesthetic with every look. For example, the brunette beauty seamlessly balances relaxed silhouettes (billowy blouses and loose-fitting tees) with sleek pieces (skinny cargos and tailored trousers) for a fresh, uncomplicated outcome. Sarinana's affinity for vivid colors and of-the-moment patterns is not lost on us either. In fact, we loved the way she expertly combined the two via a bright coral blazer and graphic-print pants, as the result was sophisticated, youthful, and right on-trend for spring. Clothing aside, Sarinana clearly has a knack for sleuthing covetable accessories too, as demonstrated by her drool-inducing ankle boots, versatile drawstring bag, and armful of chic bracelets!
All in all, we admire Sarinana's sartorial prowess, which is why we jumped at the opportunity to discover more about the tastemaker with our quick SS Q&A. In addition to finding out the details for each of today's fantastic looks, we also got some insight on Sarinana's closet go-tos and her favorite shopping sites, so read on to learn more about our wonderful May stalker!--Jessica Baker

Q&A with Julie Sarinana
Please describe your personal style in two sentences or less.
California cool and chic, with an Alexa Chung twist. It's effortless and imperfect.
How does the city you live in inspire your day-to-day style?
Being from LA, I tend to gravitate towards easy-breezy pieces that have versatility. I like wearing a lot of flat shoes, like Converse sneakers, with dresses. LA is very laid-back but cool, so you can definitely see that in my style.
List some of your favorite current trends and why you appreciate them/how you are wearing them.
I am digging all the neon pops of color-on skinny jeans, friendship bracelets, and nail polish. Also, floral short suits and anything camo-print, plus skinny and boyfriend jeans!
Who are some of your style icons and why?
I have always loved the eclectic style of the Olsen twins, the boho-chic vibe from Nicole Richie, the quirky flair from Alexa Chung, and the total minimal cool from Hanneli Mustaparta.
Name one go-to piece in your closet and why.
This one is a tough one. I have a couple things that are my all-time go-to pieces, but if I had to choose, it would definitely be my vintage Lee cutoff shorts! I scored major for $26, and they've become my staple piece. They literally go with anything and everything: heels, sneakers, sequins, tees, blazers, and sandals. They're very "California," so they're perfect for me!
What are some of your favorite places to shop?
I shop just about anywhere from flea markets to thrift stores (Wasteland is my fave!), chain stores like Zara and H&M, and higher-end like Barney's CO-OP and Opening Ceremony. For online, I love ASOS, The Outnet, Needsupply Co., and eBay.
