Not only does Erika Bearman--known to the Twitterverse as @OscarPRGirl--have one of the most amazing fashion jobs working as the Senior Vice President of Communications for Oscar de la Renta, she's also one of the funniest and most forward-thinking women we know. (Do yourself a favor and follow her on Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram, and watch Sh*t OscarPRGirl Says pronto--you'll thank us later!) Heading up the PR for one of the world's most storied and prestigious fashion houses requires a certain glamour, polish, and sophistication, three qualities that Bearman embodies in spades. But don't think this means the lady is fusty--she's anything but. Through the use of social media, Bearman skillfully manages to balance the designer's incredible history with the present, giving devoted followers a rare peek into the awe-inspiring de la Renta world, all while preserving the dignity of the iconic brand. Perhaps the reason she does such a noteworthy job is because Bearman is the epitome of the ODLR girl: a stunning natural beauty who loves a ballgown skirt as much as she does underground hip-hop, hot yoga, and very cold champagne.
In addition to her social media prowess, Bearman has also proven herself a true style savant, consistently creating wholly inspiring ensembles, each with their own fashion-forward flair. With access to the world's most lust-worthy designs and a knack for wearing serious pieces in interesting and irreverent ways, we knew Bearman would be the perfect stalkee for our July Style Stalker story.
At Events and On The Streets
We can always count on Bearman to capture a series of fabulous moments in the fashion world via Instagram, but when the cameras are turned on her, the results are just as sweet. Whether she's attending an extravagant event or simply waiting for the subway, the raven-haired beauty can be found wearing a slew of elegant gowns and dreamy party dresses. However, when Bearman is not dressed to the nines in one of Oscar de la Renta's gorgeous confections, she often reaches for a high-waisted, wide-leg pant-in either a chic black or of-the-moment bright hue-paired with a basic tee for an uncomplicated and sophisticated result. Accessory-wise, more often than not Bearman practices restraint-her outfits do most of the talking, after all-elevating her looks with a sleek clutch here and a sparkly headband there for a polished, on-point finish every time.
In addition to revealing some of her closet go-tos and favorite places to shop in our must-read Q&A below, we're excited to announce that Bearman is also taking to the Twitterverse this afternoon for our first-ever Twitterview on @WhoWhatWear. Submit your most burning style questions now with hashtag #wwwchat, and starting live at 1 p.m. PST (4 p.m. EST), Bearman will share all her need-to-know answers. Don't miss out!--Jessica Baker

Q&A with Erika Bearman
Please describe your personal style in two sentences or less.
Influenced by unapologetic glamour, hip-hop, and Bond girls.
How does the city you live in inspire your day-to-day style?
Everyone in New York walks around like they invented it. I love that. I love that you can walk out of your apartment looking crazy. No one is really too concerned with anyone else. I love the emphasis on outerwear. Coats in New York are like cars in LA-important.
List some of your favorite current trends and why you appreciate them/how you are wearing them.
It's no secret that I like a crop top. And a bra top. And a bustier. For me, I think it goes back to ballet-I grew up dancing and those are like the basics. It's also why I like to wear things backwards and cut necklines.
Who are some of your style icons and why?
Annette de la Renta, always. Gwyneth Paltrow in the '90s especially. I also like Rene Russo in The Thomas Crown Affair and Madonna in Truth or Dare. High glamour, which I think is very elusive, but you know it when you see it.
Name one go-to piece in your closet and why.
I love the way Oscar cuts a high-waisted wide trouser; it's very Angelica Houston in the '70s. And somehow they go with everything.
